The 2011 Student Design Competition. The Two Worlds Community Foundation invites undergraduate and graduate students at all levels of higher education to form collaborative and multidisciplinary teams to undertake this challenge. Submissions may be from individuals or teams of up to 3 members. Teams will benefit from having members of multiple disciplines. Bachelors, Masters, Ph.D. students. One page resume for all full time students, indicate team leader in resume and main contact information.

Awards and Closing Ceremony. The evening will be a celebration of design insights and urgencies associated with the Arizona Challenge. Within 30 days of the event, each attendee will receive a book, chronicling the competition’s winning entries, including observations from the jury and a preview of the competition and related programs for 2012. The winning Arizona Challenge entries will be a featured presentation at the May, 2011 National Urban Land Institute Conference in Phoenix.

November 15, 2010. Public announcement to design schools. January 16, 2011. 11:59 PM Arizona time. Application deadline, this deadline has been extended. January 17, 2011. January 18, 2011. Competition materials released to accepted teams. April 21, 2011 (4:00 PM Arizona time). May 27, 2011. Last week of June, 2011. This date has also changed. Final presentations and award ceremory will occur the last week of June, 2011. More details will be announced right after we notify all winning teams.
