Random Fiber Ramblings: my fingerless gloves
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2004/12/my-fingerless-gloves.html
And other assorted hooey. Sunday, December 12, 2004. This is the "prototype" pair - I'm really pretty proud of these. I tried several patterns, and they all pretty much sucked bilge water, so I designed my own. :-) I made them with Briggs and Little Canadian Regal from Schoolhouse Press. I used size 3 dpns. I'm trying to write down the pattern as I knit them, but it seems that I'm the only one that understands the directions! Posted by Kim at 6:11 PM. Subscribe to Post Comments [ Atom. Random Fiber Ramblings: Secret Pal!
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2009/08/secret-pal.html
And other assorted hooey. Thursday, August 13, 2009. I'm still trying to put my Knitting Camp and vacation posts together, but I wanted to show you what my Secret Pal sent! Is reproducing many of the vintage patterns - this one is from 1899. I've been intrigued by these for a long time - I've had this site bookmarked for ages, but I've never actually bought any of them. I love vintage and antique patterns! Thank you, Secret Pal! Posted by Kim at 7:34 PM. Subscribe to Post Comments [ Atom. Im working on i...

Random Fiber Ramblings: Camp!!!
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2006/08/camp.html
And other assorted hooey. Tuesday, August 01, 2006. I'm home and (mostly) recovered from Knitting Camp, and I have to say - Meg and Co. I went to Camp 3 - the Oft-Timers camp - and I am so happy that I did! Warning - this is a VERY photo-heavy post! This is the view from my seat. Diane is on the right (more on her later! And on the left is Emily Ocker! Yes, THE Emily Ocker. Emily is a wonderful, funny lady, and she tells the most interesting stories! Camp 3 is structured quite differently from Camp 1.

Random Fiber Ramblings: All Knitting, All the Time!
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2005/07/all-knitting-all-time.html
And other assorted hooey. Wednesday, July 13, 2005. All Knitting, All the Time! I've been home for a day and a half, and I'm still having a hard time putting the words together to describe my experience at Knitting Camp. I can't believe how much information my brain was able to absorb! I have so many ideas swirling through my head, I don't even know where to begin. Well, I *should* begin by writing all of these ideas down before I forget them! Or a Elizabeth/Meg/Joyce book was there! The people at School...

March 6, 2010. March 6, 2010. Summary of 26 pages of forum archives from the PhD (comic) forums. I summarized 26 pages of On Academia. Seen or looked at PhD Comics. I recommend you start at the beginning at work your way through. I’m trying to figure out if I should get my PhD in the future. I’ve already read a million AskMe (metafilter). Questions on it, and I even skimmed the obligatory So You Want To Get Your Doctorate. Guide at Borders*. But this post isn’t about all that. I didn’t want my cute littl...

Random Fiber Ramblings: Well, let's see...
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2009/08/well-lets-see.html
And other assorted hooey. Friday, August 28, 2009. Well, let's see. My thumb is healing nicely, and everything is back on track. I've been incredibly busy, though; school started this past week! I have four classes of English 9 and one class of English 9 Basic. After six years of babysitting JDs, I'm still trying to get used to teaching a full load again! Hopefully I'll have more to show you this weekend. Posted by Kim at 10:32 PM. Subscribe to Post Comments [ Atom. View my complete profile. Thigh-High V...
