Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Two cute sisters. Tonight they listened to a bedtime story together in Haylie's bed. Alice was just as busy looking at Haylie as she was looking at the book. Getting good at holding herself up. This is Alice, saying "What is that thing in front of me? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Mothers Day, part two. Livet på Fågelsången: Saturday - Mother's Day part one.
http://stenkumla.blogspot.com/2011/05/saturday-mothers-day-part-one.html
Sunday, May 29, 2011. Saturday - Mother's Day part one. On Saturday, we celebrated Mother's Day a day early by going on a little outing. We went out for lunch to Leva Kungslador. I love ears on baby clothes. After lunch, we drove just north of Visby to Åhsbergska hagen and Gustavsvik's beach. We went for a little walk at the beach and in the meadow area. Haylie could not resist kidly urges, and walked right into the water after some minnows, getting her pants all wet from the knee down.

Livet på Fågelsången: November 2010
http://stenkumla.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 27, 2010. Julmarknad på Västerhejde skola - Haylie's school Christmas fair. For once, Stefan had a coat on, but of course no hat or gloves. Haylie went on a pony ride. Here she is, working the money box. All the kids had a 20 minute shift to work, selling what they had made and what the families had donated. Monday, November 8, 2010. Haylie was practicing her photography skills. We both have heads and it is relatively in focus, so I guess she did a good job. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Livet på Fågelsången: March 2011
http://stenkumla.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Alice was helping Stefan do one of his favorite pasttimes: reading the ads that come in the junk mail. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Alice came down with a cold today. Her eyes and nose are runny and she has a cough. Everytime she laughs she starts coughing instead. She is still in a pretty good mood despite it. Haylie wanted to burp her sister. It quickly turned from a nice cuddle to Alice trying to eat Haylie's face like she was rabid. Saturday, we drove d...

Livet på Fågelsången: Ice cream and sunshine
http://stenkumla.blogspot.com/2011/04/ice-cream-and-sunshine.html
Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Ice cream and sunshine. Haylie's grade went on a field trip to a dairy farm today. She was a bit disappointed that they only had cows there, no other animals. I picked her up at the playground at Almedalen in Visby when they were done. We walked over to the harbor and bought ice cream, then walked back to by where I had parked and stopped by the beach so she could throw rocks. Pepparmint and Mint chocolate chip. I had Coconut and Brownie. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Livet på Fågelsången: December 2010
http://stenkumla.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 30, 2010. Our Christmas tree this year - Stefan's dad got it for us. It is about 270 cm tall after we trimmed it some. Good thing we have a high ceiling. This was on the 22nd when we put it up. Here was Haylie on Christmas Eve morning, after breakfast and ready to open presents. After presents, Haylie, Grandma and Grandpa went out and played in the snow. Then we got ready, and after the traditional cartoons at 3 PM went to Stefan's sister's house for Christmas Eve dinner. On Saturday, ...

Livet på Fågelsången: May 2011

Sunday, May 29, 2011. Mother's Day, part two. Today, we went to Stefan's grandma's house for coffee in honor of Mother's Day in Sweden. She is 95. We brought the cookies since we have so much left from the baptism. Alice had her first shy moment and started crying when all the grandmas wanted to talk to her. When she saw me she calmed down again, though. This is a four generation shot, with Grandma Anita, Stefan, Haylie, Alice, and Great-Grandma Kally. Here is Alice with her Great-Grandma. Livet på Fågelsången: April 2011
http://stenkumla.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Here was bubble blower #1 at the age Alice is now. And bubble blower #2. Other than the hair, they are pretty similar. Ice cream and sunshine. Pepparmint and Mint chocolate chip. I had Coconut and Brownie. Alice was enjoying sitting up a little in her stroller. Sunny and 70 today, so Alice and I were outside all afternoon. We took 2 walks at home prior to picking Haylie up. The leaves aren't out yet, but if this weather keeps up they will be in no time. Thursday, April 21, 2011.

Livet på Fågelsången: February 2011
http://stenkumla.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. Haylie saw these three deer through the window as she was eating her lunch. They were just across the street. Stefan had seen two a couple days ago, and they ate up our neighbor's apple tree sapling. We were having fun watching them until Alice coughed and they scattered. You can see how one was listening to us all the way across the street and inside the house. Thursday, February 24, 2011. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Monday, February 21, 2011.
