Roseaves: Happy sixth!
http://roseaves.blogspot.com/2015/05/happy-sixth.html
Thursday, May 21, 2015. This boy turned six years old today. Six. He is learning to speak Spanish at school and really starting to pick it up. He loves outer space, animals, and his little brother. They are a pair of adventurers. He's at the top of his class in reading skills, far beyond kindergarten level. Today was also his last day of kindergarten. These years just keep going by. He also suddenly has a very big interest in puma clothing. Thanks Nama for this latest t-shirt. View my complete profile.
Lissilulu: February 2009

Thursday, February 26. My favorite sweater that I had just gotten from the thrift store ended up with a snag after just a few weeks. It has sat and sat in the mending pile because I just couldn't get rid of it and I couldn't bear to cut it up for some other project. UNTILAmy over at Angry Chicken. Got me revved up about giving sweaters new life. She even got the fur accent going on with her sweater. I like how the two rows look instead of one row along the middle of the ribbon. Roseaves: Rocky point vacation
http://roseaves.blogspot.com/2015/08/rocky-point-vacation.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. We had a great little trip to the beach last week. These boys loved the strawberry soda at the taco stand. It's the simple things, right? We rented a condo right on the quiet beach where there were great little ride pools at low tide with a million tiny hermit crabs everywhere. Noah loved making friends with the crabs. The flower cut mango on a stick was apparently Noah's favorite part of the trip. There's actually a photo of me. Thanks Wesley! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Link: Heart, Hand and Head. Friday, April 24, 2009. So I have been thinking of changing the name of my blog to Red Cottage Crafts. Or Little Red Cottage Crafts. Or something else, Link Creations lacks a little pizazz or something and doesn't seem quite right. I haven't given this name change a lot of thought but some and am still pondering it. We live in a quite nice cute little red cottage and it seems kind of fitting, but we wont live here forever. I also like the word Morningside. And oh so soft!

Link: Heart, Hand and Head. Thursday, January 29, 2009. Here is my own dyed wool from this summer. I finally got around to carding it last week! Oh how fun it was to card it, to make these luscious bats of sweet soft downy wool! There is a combination of colors here, some fungus dyes that I got to use at the Klamath Weavers and Spinners guild meeting in June where we had an all day dye party! Tuesday, January 20, 2009. I just received my package of plant dyed wool from slowCOLOR! Monday, January 19, 2009.

Link: Heart, Hand and Head. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. I have one leg warmer left to make for Fin. This yarn was given to me a long time ago and I'm not sure what it is. I do know that it is at least part Alpaca, very soft! Should be comfy against Fin's legs. Some Christmas presents in the making. Another Fin baby item! Diaper cover #1. Pattern by Vanilla from Raverly! I love this pattern! It is well written and super easy to follow! Friday, November 13, 2009. Labels: lichen dye results. And the resul...
The Parker Post: First day of 3rd and 1st grade
http://kctravgirls.blogspot.com/2011/09/first-day-of-3rd-and-1st-grade.html
Wednesday, September 14, 2011. First day of 3rd and 1st grade. The girls started this school year at a new school. It's a private school a little further away from home, but it is a great place for them to be and we are really happy there so far. They have made friends quickly and love all the extra enrichment time spent in art, music, PE, and science. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Life as an eleven-year-old. http://linkhearthandhead.blogspot.com/2010/04/fins-sweater.html
Link: Heart, Hand and Head. Friday, April 23, 2010. I finished knitting Fin's sweater last night. Today I sewed up the seams and wove in the loose ends! I need to sew on two bottons (but can't get them now as they are in Fin's room and he is sleeping) then I'll wash and block it! What I love about this sweater so far are the colors. I dyed this yarn with Lichen that I gathered in the woods, which made the lovely yellow dye, and with black walnuts gathered from my parents place (another gorgeous color).

Link: Heart, Hand and Head. Friday, March 5, 2010. The rhythm of life. Is when you experience. Your own body, mind and soul". When the rhythm of a day goes well and there is flow I know that I have been a bit more present to myself and my child. I love these kind of days. They are what I love living for! Yesterday Fin and I went to the Wing Watchers trail and Fin sat in the gravel and put rocks in his mouth while I cut branches to make blocks out of! May we all find rhythm and beauty! After I cut up this...

July 13, 2015. July 13, 2015. A friend emailed me this week and invited me to an online event on Friday night. I told her that I would love to be there, but Brian was going to be a men’s camping retreat with church so I was going to be on my own with the four kids. I said that I would be there, barring any unforeseen chaos. I actually used the word “chaos” in my email to her. I learned a lesson this week. Continue reading →.
