I am pleased to invite application and nominations for the 2016 General Education Program/Hesburgh Awards for Student Academic Achievement. The TIAA-CREF Hesburgh Endowment Fund enables MU’s General Education Program to award each spring four $1,000 academic achievement scholarships to one student from each of the four undergraduate classes. Students may apply for these awards or be nominated by a faculty member. 1-30 hours = Freshmen. 31-60 hours = Sophomore. 61-90 hours = Junior. 91 hours = Senior .

University general education requirements for all MU degrees. Math 1100, 1120 (no longer offered), 1160 or transferable equivalent (Must be completed with a grade of C- or better.). This requirement can also be satisfied by completing a Calculus course (Math 1320, 1400, 1500, 1700, or 2300) that provides back-credit for Math 1100 (or 1160), or passing the proctored Math Placement Exam. 160;with a sufficient score, thereby demonstrating proficiency in college algebra.
