After some Cognos patches were installed my reports stopped to work. It took me quite a while to trace the problem back to my use of parameter maps. The error messages did not help - business as usual.). The parameter map I'm using is based on a SQL query. I think this is where Cognos got mixed up. This fixed the problem.

I’ve been using FM 8.4 for a day now, fortunately I skipped right past 8.3 cause I just opened that up for comparrison’s sake and it would seem that 8.4 is a fair improvement on that abomination. Rather than incrementing/decrementing levels of zoom like the vast majority of applications, it now takes TWELVE wheel scrolls while holding CTRL to change the level of zoom by a single percent. Shield your eyes from the harsh luminocity.
