The rain stopped …. January 11, 2014. Tags: agfa vista plus 100. The other day, as i was re-organizing my film prints, and looking at old photos and not-so-old photos, i realized that i hadn’t been doing a lot of sharing. What’s summer without cool mint water and fresh watermelon? 8230; and sunkissed cheeks and green grass. 8230; and light leaks. And foggy endless summer days (only in San Francisco). From → Green. Cinnamon Tea Cake – Eat, Little Bird
http://eatlittlebird.com/2014/09/04/cinnamon-tea-cake
Eat, Little Bird. This lovely recipe comes from a baking compendium aptly titled, Baking. By Margaret Fulton, one of the foremost Australian authors I frequently turn to when I want something old-fashioned from my childhood. And for something old-fashioned, it seems fitting to use one of my favourite discoveries of late: locally milled flour from Zurich with its vintage-inspired packaging. I think it’s time to put on the kettle. Join me for a cuppa? Recipe adapted from Baking. Labels: Cakes and Desserts.

The slow fall | a happy day
https://happysnapshots.wordpress.com/2013/08/16/the-slow-fall
Our days are a little busier now…. Sometimes you just want to sit in a comfy recliner to gaze out the window and ponder life’s mysteries. But sometimes your lack of neck and back control puts a damper on your plans. And sometimes you have a terrible mama who sits there taking pictures of your sloooow fall down the recliner. Life is full of little indignities.). Posted in Domestic life. 7 thoughts on “ The slow fall. August 16, 2013 at 1:36 pm. Love it. :-). August 16, 2013 at 3:14 pm. I am cracking up!

Saturday, March 13, 2010. Down the rabbit hole. I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is 'Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle! From Alice in Wonderland. Sunday, October 31, 2010. Well, today's my birthday! I had an awesome day of eating, frozen mocha cheesecake and lasagne, and reading! Present wise I was gifted two awesome cards, a lovely butterfly ring set with garnets, an amazing hot-air-balloon pendant from my sister, Vickie, and Behemoth by Scott Westerfeld (which I'm already more then half way through! Here's the first card, hand drawn and painted by Adam, Christopher, and James, my brothers. And the second one, again hand drawn, from Vickie.

Blueberry Hazelnut Cobbler Cake - The Candid Appetite

Where Cooking Meets Photography. Blueberry Hazelnut Cobbler Cake. June 29, 2015. From last year. Once you’re done making and eating this cobbler cake, you can mosey on over back into the kitchen and whip up some blueberry cobbler biscuits because it just seems like the right thing to do, doesn’t it? How do you follow up a delicious cake? By making biscuits. Don’t fight it. Melt the butter in a 9-inch cast iron skillet, remove from heat, and pour the batter on top of the melted butter. Note: If you don...

French Macarons | Charlotte Hu
https://charlottehu.wordpress.com/2013/02/28/frenchmacarons
28 February 2013 —. I always knew that French macarons were intimidatingly difficult to make; little did I know just how much precision and experience it would take to create a successful batch! And I went to a macaron-making class at On Cookery Club. I am rather pleased with how my little yellow French macarons turned out but – as Loretta warned us – trying this in our own kitchens will be a whole different journey. Even seasonal changes will affect the success of a batch! 28 February 2013 at 10:59.

Granville Island // Vancouver, Canada | a happy day
https://happysnapshots.wordpress.com/2013/07/12/granville-island-vancouver-canada
Grouse Mountain / Vancouver, Canada. Our days are a little busier now… →. Granville Island / Vancouver, Canada. Granville Island was such a fun spot in Vancouver. It reminded me a lot of Seattle’s Pike Place (without the fog), with its huge market area, beautiful views, food stands, and interesting shops. If you got there early enough (and not even that early — more like 9-10am), parking is free and plentiful. 4 thoughts on “ Granville Island / Vancouver, Canada. July 12, 2013 at 2:14 pm.
