Sailing with Aquila: January 2010
http://sailaquila.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Because we travel at such great speeds, you will find it hard to keep up with us, so we're using this SLOG (Ship's Log) to record where we've been. And if we know, we'll tell you where we are now, too. Sunday, January 10, 2010. We finally decided to buy our boat a home. We bought a slip on the west dock of Whittaker Creek Yacht Harbor. And on Saturday, we braved the cold and moved our boat from it's old home on the east dock over to the west dock. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Where we are now.

Because we travel at such great speeds, you will find it hard to keep up with us, so we're using this SLOG (Ship's Log) to record where we've been. And if we know, we'll tell you where we are now, too. Wednesday, September 30, 2009. The last few months we have spent only the occassional weekend at the boat. We've taken two trips to Ocracoke- one was a simple overnight, the other was a lovely 3 day trip which ended in a dreary, rainy, but not too cold, sail home. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Because we travel at such great speeds, you will find it hard to keep up with us, so we're using this SLOG (Ship's Log) to record where we've been. And if we know, we'll tell you where we are now, too. Friday, December 3, 2010. Almost a year later. Lots has happened since we moved our boat into her new home in slip W-2. First, we slipped a line and, as our dockmaster said, "rubbed paint" with our next door neighbor. The president of our yacht club. What a way to meet. Later in the summer we spent a week ...

We're not home yet, and it's fall here in New Zealand, but we are really looking forward to spring in NC. We expect to back at the boat the first weekend in May, and hopefully we will only have to turn the key, and vroom, off we'll go. Where we are now.

And if we know, we'll tell you where we are now, too. Tuesday, July 14, 2009. We've had fun so far just talking to our neighbors. The downside is that our slip is somewhat more exposed than we are used to. The upside is that we are only 10 minutes (rather than 40) from sailing on the Neuse. Friday, July 10, 2009. Abtnoski Adventure in the BVI: Day 12. We told...

They did look nice when they came out, but when there is only one toilet and a long line, I personally didn’t think it was worth it! The St. Thomas waterfront is beautiful, but could use som...

And if we know, we'll tell you where we are now, too. Friday, January 7, 2011. It was remarkable. We watched a little football, not because we cared about it, but because it really worked. By turning off the amplifier, we learned that this was an important feature. The channel search returned 16 channels! The drumming and banging continued. At last, the drago...
