Music is often provided by our all-volunteer band, The Hoosier Recruits. Current members include Peter Martin (hammered dulcimer and flutes), Dot Pakan (accordion), Suzanne Keldsen (fiddle) Julietta Raby (fiddle), Hilda Demuth-Lutze (keyboard), Mark Lutze (bass), and Marti Pizzini (guitar and a variety of other traditional instruments). Directions to the Dance. From the East or West via Interstate 94:. Exit at Chesterton Hwy 49 (Exit 26a) and head south. At the 2nd light, turn right (west) on Porter Ave. Proceed strait at the 4-way stop one more block to 2nd Street. Go right (north) one block, then turn right onto W. Lincoln Ave. The parking lot entrance will be to your right. Enter the hall through the blue double doors. From the South via Hwy 49 or the Indiana Toll Road (Exit 31):. Head north on Hwy 49.

Four couples face each other in a square of eight people. Dance moves include things done with your partner and also moves done with all others in the square. Usually circles dances are mixers meaning that the partner you start with will not stay your partner for long. Dance moves are done with each sequential partner as well as everyone in a large circle.
