Not Just for Women. Men are an important part to ending violence against women. Men should care about V-Day for many reasons:. Men Rape: In most sexually violent crimes men are the perpetrators. Men are Raped: 10-20% of all males are sexually assaulted and society attaches a stigma to this. Occurs. ( Anti-Violence Resource Guide. 1 in 4 women. Will be sexually assaulted. In her lifetime as will 1 in 9 men. The National Domestic Violence Hotline. More than 226,000 children. And 104,000 adults. Every year. ( Texas Association Against Sexual Assault. Of college women are raped. 1 in 33 men.

Every year the TCU V-Day Campaign presents a benefit production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues. As well as V-Week, a week of educational events and social programming to promote ending violence against women globally. Through ticket and merchandise sales, V-Day has been able to raise around $3,500. Each year. 10%. Of this money is sent to V-Day to be donated to organizations supporting the annual spotlight, and the rest is donated to a local beneficiary ( The Tarrant County Women's Center.
