Roscoe Village Bikes Cyclocross Team: Muddddy Mayhem (the double-dose of d's is for double the mud)
http://roscoevillagebikes.blogspot.com/2009/11/muddddy-mayhem-double-dose-of-ds-is-for.html
Roscoe Village Bikes Cyclocross Team. Monday, November 2, 2009. Muddddy Mayhem (the double-dose of d's is for double the mud). Finally real 'cross conditions have arrived, and we survived. And we had the most fun of the season! Created a super-tough course in St. Charles, complete with mud, $20 handups, more mud, rock gardens, several off-camber ascents/descents, Halloween costumes, and then three rivers of more mud - two you crossed over, one you went upstream. Not an easy feat. 90 points for the team.

Roscoe Village Bikes Cyclocross Team. Monday, November 9, 2009. Check out this great video. By Paul Mechna. Keep your peepers peeled at the end for our very own Alex Tweedie scoring a cash handup on an off-camber uphill! And Jim, I think your chain is supposed to go around your chainring. Roscoe Village Bikes Cyclocross Team: Northbrook Preview?
http://roscoevillagebikes.blogspot.com/2009/11/northbrook-preview.html
Roscoe Village Bikes Cyclocross Team. Friday, November 6, 2009. Well since the sled hill is out this year, will we see what Ryan Trebon saw in Portland last year instead? November 6, 2009 at 10:42 PM. No, well probably see signs all over proclaiming to ob abstain from this or that like some cracked out Dr. Suess story. Remember to stay off the grass while there. Literally, if its not taped off, dont tread. This give me the feeling that i should act out, if only in a benign way. Things We Look At.

Roscoe Village Bikes Cyclocross Team: March 2010
http://roscoevillagebikes.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Roscoe Village Bikes Cyclocross Team. Monday, March 22, 2010. The winter is slowly retreating into memory and we cyclists are emerging from our holes that we have been in over the past few months where sweat and movies, race footage etc. have played repeatedly while we pedaled away in the hopes of Spring, concrete crits and road races. It should be an interesting year ahead of us racing for Roscoe Village this season. Stay tuned for updates, race reports and general cycling fun. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Unexceptional Girl Racer
http://unexceptionalgirlracer.blogspot.com/2010/09/im-depressed.html
A blog about bike racing. Tuesday, September 14, 2010. My racing this past season has been truly unexceptional and it's gotten me down. I work really hard. I spend a significant portion of my life training. I want to do well. My best results this year: third place in the 1-2-3 field at Leland Kermesse in April and second place in a cat 4 tempo race at the track in August. Both of which I'm proud of - but they aren't nearly enough. Wins: Zero. Zilch. Zed. Upgrade points: 3 (from Leland). On Sunday I raced...

Unexceptional Girl Racer: April 2010
http://unexceptionalgirlracer.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A blog about bike racing. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Just looked up the official rules on upgrading, and learned I have 4 upgrade points! I thought I'd only get 1 for Leland. 21 more to go. Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Photo - Gavin Gould. Leland - Kermesse was on Saturday. Not only was the course a total soul-crusher [this is a good thing], Flatlandia really outdid themselves putting it on. Thanks, guys! Photo - Gavin Gould. I wasn't in much better shape on that fourth lap, truth be told. And I really m...

Unexceptional Girl Racer: May 2009
http://unexceptionalgirlracer.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
A blog about bike racing. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. I raced the ABD Memorial Day masters' criterium yesterday - and I have to start by saying that ABD puts on great races. Well-organized, well-marshalled races on good courses. Monday's race was in an industrial park on a wide, smooth road with sweeping corners, a couple false flats and a bit of wind. Why didn't I go? What's wrong with me? When will I learn that I regret inaction more than action, even ineffectual action. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Today was t...

Unexceptional Girl Racer: July 2009
http://unexceptionalgirlracer.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
A blog about bike racing. Friday, July 31, 2009. Http:/ www.saxobanktakingthelead.com/? Jens recorded a video assuring everyone that he's OK and will be back racing soon. Yay. Other than the loss of yet more dignity. Pactimo, who makes my team's kit, has sent me a couple pairs of newly designed women's shorts to try out. The past couple years, the chamois in the women's shorts has had some issues, so I'm delighted that they are trying new things and I'm happy to help vet them. Tuesday, July 21, 2009.
