MANSFIELD Alice Eilers was only planning to volunteer for the Boy Scouts until her son Rick earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He achieved that goal more than 20 years ago, but Eilers is still working with the organization, positively influencing the lives of numerous boys, and continues to volunteer throughout her community, said her daughter Beth Eilers, who nominated her for Making a Difference honors.
