http://www.oldgatesfarm.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

But it's big enough for a hockey game and the boys have not minded the cold, cold temps.sometimes playing until dark. A friend of mine asked me to make a sleep sack for her friend's new baby boy. I used a washable yarn and this pattern. And added some homemade buttons, too. Celebrating with friends and family. Which she just recently ...

Old Gates Farm: catching up
http://www.oldgatesfarm.com/2015/08/catching-up.html
We arrived home Wednesday evening, just in time to harvest for farmers' market. It's a bit surreal harvesting on our farmstead in Vermont in the evening, when just that morning you were traveling on public transit through Chicago with four little ones. Yesterday, I was back to work at our co-op and last night I attended a party for our outgoing general manager. Tonight, the kids were running and biking through the yard while I weeded my herb garden.I think we're getting back into the groove here. We are ...

Old Gates Farm: February 2015
http://www.oldgatesfarm.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
We returned from Chicago just in time to celebrate K's birthday on Saturday. My serious, thoughtful, and creative guy is 11! The train ride home was exhausting. It was 3 hours late leaving, which meant I was trying to keep F happy (or sleeping) in the train station until 12:30am (1:30 our time). So, Saturday was pretty low-key. He invited a friend over and they built legos and we had ice cream sundaes since I didn't get a chance to make an ice cream cake. I guess we are missing even colder temps in Vermo...
