Villa Matilde is located in the region Andalucia, north of the city of Andújar. The estate is easily reachable by car. The area offers much to see and experience for nature lovers, admirers of architecture, and cultural connoisseurs. The typical architecture of churches and monuments found in Andújar give one the feeling of being in the Middle Ages. Other cities in Southern Spain, such as Sevilla, Córdoba, Granada and Málaga are easy to reach from Villa Matilde.

The villa is surrounded by three hectares of property with old pine and oak trees and a swimming pool with a terrace. The villa has rooms for one, two or three persons, each with a private bathroom. The guest lounge has a fireplace for the cooler seasons. It is possible to provide half board or full board on request. Vegetarian meals are also served. For the meals we use organic vegetables from our own garden.

Excursions and Nature tours. The Sierra de Andujar is a beautiful scenic patchwork of holm and cork oak woods, pinewoods and Mediterranean scrubland, sometimes dotted with curious groups of round granite outcrops locally called bolos. This area is one of the best known to birdwatchers and naturalists in the whole Sierra Morena. You can find Andalucia's entire list of carnivores and it is a good area to spot the threatened Iberian lynx, otter, Egyptian mongoose, fallow and red deer.
