Page last updated: September 10, 2014. June 28-29, 2014 was my first ARRL Field Day. I was elmered by the best: my father K8VEB in a small field on my property. We were on-the-air from 2pm to 6am and weathered a thunderstorm. it was FUN and I finally got my feet wet on HF. We used a G5RV and a slinky antenna with center feed on a 20' aluminum flagpole.
