Across the Ocean | Walking by Grace

June 30, 2015. Nick began his journey across the ocean yesterday afternoon. He will be gone for about 3 weeks working on the Africa Mercy. Please be praying for Nick’s health, safety, and effectiveness while he is away for the next three weeks. Also pray for the ministry as they are in a preparation phase before the ship returns to Madagascar in August. The days are long, the work is big. But God is great! Larr; The Truth. Our Baby is 7 →. August 6, 2015. To many it may just be another day on the calendar. But to me, it is a reminder of God’s redemption. A reminder that He makes things new. A reminder that He is love. Fast forward 8 years and that sweet little bundle would make the biggest decision of her life and God would get the glory. Miss Ally decided in 2012 to let Jesus be Lord in her heart and life. And on August 6, 2012, she was baptized! A date that held memories of uncertainty and fear now held an unspeakable joy! Our Baby is 7.

July 20, 2015. We are so excited to have Nick home! To say we missed him would be an understatement! 3 weeks was LOOOOONNNGG! But it was worth it – to see the pictures. To hear the stories. To see God’s hand in all of the things that have led us to Mercy Ships. It is pretty incredible! So this week we wrap up a few to-dos in St. James, visit with as many family and friends as possible, and then head to Texas. Please be praying for our family as we make this transition. I told her they were in the pantry on the second shelf. She went into the pantry, grabbed one, and came out saying, "You were right that they were in the pantry, but they were on the third shelf.".
