Saturday, April 19, 2014. These are two of the 13 new pieces included in my most recent show,. Which opens on Sunday at BGSQD. I cannot stress how important, however, it is to see this show in person. Much of the show happened even after framing, and the pieces clawed over. The mats and didn't stop. Come see what I mean for yourself tomorrow, April 20th, from 6 - 9 pm. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Feral Art for a Synthetic World. Work all day. Work all night. Changing all the time. Ketch Wehr: My Gay Banjo Art
http://ketchwehr.blogspot.com/2014/02/my-gay-banjo-art.html
Friday, February 28, 2014. My Gay Banjo Art. This is the original graphic that I produced for My Gay Banjo’s newest album. We tweaked it and then their designer took it from there,. I was happy with it all of the different ways it went. The original pictured here is mostly in gouache with a little bit of watercolor. On a nice, cold-pressed Arches paper. You can find out info on their new record and tour here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Feral Art for a Synthetic World. Changing all the time.

Ketch Wehr: Meditations on Wildness
http://ketchwehr.blogspot.com/2014/01/meditations-on-wildness.html
Sunday, January 12, 2014. I am currently working on a selection of options for a friend's upcoming book's cover. He and I spend a good amount of time thinking about and pursuing our own wildness,. Trying to pull apart where that need comes from, and considering what that even means. As a hyperactive, borderline feral kid, it very often felt like I had to learn to be a human. Sometimes people who meet me in a more formal situation have a hard time. I am always on the opposite end of that reality,. Ketch W...

MEDUSAWOLF: April 2015
http://medusawolf.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 23, 2015. Just not here anymore. For some time I've had a website of my own but it was hard to clear off of Blogger since the site is so easy to use and I'm not on the friendliest terms with computers or navigating css, html, and whatever else the interet throws my way. So this blog now lives in what will be it's final resting place, as it were, over at medusawolf.com. Thanks for following along here and hopefully I'll see you all again over there! See you on the other side!

MEDUSAWOLF: July 2013
http://medusawolf.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 15, 2013. CERTAIN DOOM" - Deleted Scenes. Here are a few paintings I did that didn't make it into "Certain Doom," An artshow I did with the incredible Jeanne D'Angelo. Due to space restrictions/unecassary panic over not having enough work. I'll post some images of the show soon enough but for now I thought it would be fun to look at these poor saps. I'll have these available for prints in my Etsy shop. In the near future also. The show runs until September at Grindcore House.

MEDUSAWOLF: September 2012
http://medusawolf.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 21, 2012. In the Shadows of the Sunlit World. Part 2 of Ovoyyamar. Is lurking out in the shadows. Until it strikes I highly recommend staring into the abyss that is Luminism. There are a lot of amazing 19th century American landscape artists and their works that I have found very inspiring while working on this comic. I could stare into John Frederick Kensett's 'Lake George'. Forever I think. One random day someone will say "Hey, where did Alan go? Posted by Alan Brown.

A portfolio site full of stuff. Professionally, I work with my wife, Eleanor. I was inspired to write a blog entry for our site. I think that there are many reasons for plagiarism. And surprisingly, most of them do not stem from malicious intentions. Laziness. This is bordering on malicious and is really pretty sad. Rather than go through the work of developing a concept and choosing colors, typography, layout, etc that will communicate their concept, they just find something that is pretty and c...Click...

Fig & Vine: Gratitude
http://figandvinefemme.blogspot.com/2014/03/gratitude.html
Sunday, March 30, 2014. In a city like New York, it's too easy to get impatient. We left Philly just over two years ago, and this time of year also marks two years from when we embarked on our two-and-a-half-month adventure through Europe. My partner and I have been in NYC for about a year and three months now. This nice sense of comfort and NYC-savvy is finally settling in. I feel grateful for being in this time and place, and that the possibilities for what's next are wide open. View my complete profile.
