Ten kids and a Dog: November 2014
http://tenkidsandadog.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Ten kids and a Dog. The days in the life of a large, Catholic, homeschooling family. Sunday, November 30, 2014. I saw many different varieties of candy cane wreaths around pinterest.so I pulled my favorite parts of different wreaths together to make one all our own. First Kimberly painted an old cd with red acrylic paint. I used 18 candy canes for our wreath. I used the glue gun to make pairs of candy canes. Testing out the look. This made it much more stable. We are all very happy with this years wreath.

A Greenberry Street Tale | Greenberry Street
https://greenberrystreet.wordpress.com/2014/10/14/a-greenberry-street-tale
Changing the world, one flower at a time. A Greenberry Street Tale. Once upon a time, there was a girl. This girl started a business, and a blog to chronicle her adventures. The business got a Big Client, and this girl was very busy fulfilling orders. And blogging occasionally. Or something like that. So here we are, a few months later, and I am not where I thought I would be at all. I am in a new role at my “real” job (which is a. Thing), and Greenberry Street is essentially out of business. One and a h...

The Thompson Treehouse: December 2013
http://thompsontreehouse.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 20, 2013. New to us, we thought we would give yarn extensions a try, and here is how it turned out. As you can see, I totally cheated. only getting half her head done and running out of time, I quickly did the top half in large sections. In total, this took 5 hours. It's a bit faster than Kanekelon braids I would say, however I am not sure if it will last as long. So now she wants to give me that 'Movember' shot! Tuesday, December 17, 2013. I was doing some Christmas baking while the kid...

The Thompson Treehouse: April 2014
http://thompsontreehouse.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Mom of the Year - 2014! Yep, that's right. This year, I didn't even have to be nominated. It was hands down, no contest. To make a long story short, and cut straight to the embarrassing facts. I dropped Mister Man and Zahra off to spend the afternoon at the 'FAIR', but in reality, I dropped them off at a FUNERAL! Fair, funeral - similar right! My poor son, after living with such a courageous, outspoken, older sister, he is not used to handling 'situations' on his own. He finally m...

The Thompson Treehouse: October 2014

Friday, October 17, 2014. Change in rules Kenyan Foreign Adoption. Just a quick note, as I know many of you don't do Facebook. Today I have learned that some families have been approved with the age stipulation of between the ages of 4-6. With some further digging, I have heard the following:. Applicants over the age of 40, will only be referred a child over the age of 4. Only one child should be given to an applicant at a time unless the children are twins. My question is - What about regular siblings!

The Thompson Treehouse: Disturbing Trends - Kenya adoption update
http://thompsontreehouse.blogspot.com/2014/03/disturbing-trends-kenya-adoption-update.html
Monday, March 31, 2014. Disturbing Trends - Kenya adoption update. I really don't even know how to begin. Quite frankly, I am feeling like this program, that is obviously so near and dear to my heart, is on an inevitable track to derailment. Please know that everything I am going to speaking about below is here-say, and my thoughts and opinions. It has not been formally or officially communicated or published by the NAC. Childless couples with infertility have priority. There have been some very random s...
