http://zerosumsolutions.blogspot.com/2012/05/recruits-spring-2012-pt-5-vendor-eye.html
Thursday, May 3, 2012. Recruits Spring 2012 - Pt 5 (The Vendor Eye Candy). This is the last post on Spring Recruits 2012. This time around I'm going to highlight some of the commercial vendors and the eye candy they had out. Of course, I've already posted about Laser Dream Works. Was there, showing off their 15mm vehicles, if only I had the money and where withall to venture into 15mm SciFi. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Fantasy Fixtures Gaming Emporium. Zero Sum Solutions: TEOTWAWKI, Another Ruin For The Table
http://zerosumsolutions.blogspot.com/2012/05/teotwawki-another-ruin-for-table.html
Monday, May 14, 2012. TEOTWAWKI, Another Ruin For The Table. Here's another ruin for my post apocalyptic table. It's the corner of some long destroyed garage, or warehouse. I haven't decided what is going on the sign, yet. Here's a close up of the roll up door. I actually bought a scrap booking tool, so I can make corrugated metal, anytime I want:-). ConfusedDad's Mental Wanderings: December 2011
http://confuseddad23.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 31, 2011. Mystery Machine WIP - End of the Year Progress. Today I actual set aside some time and made some more headway on the van. First up was touching up the paint all around and adding rust. Now comes the DIPPING! I'm always happy when I come to the dipping part because it means the end is in sight for finishing up the model. The van is too big to actually dip, so what I do is sorta "paint" Army Quickshade over the whole thing. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. There's lot's of stuff t...

ConfusedDad's Mental Wanderings: September 2011
http://confuseddad23.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 25, 2011. This is another building that I did around the same time as the previous one. I pretty much copied the ideas from the Survivalist's house on the Zombietown website. Note that our survivalist friend has learned a few things from the mistakes of his late neighbors. First off, the windows are boarded-up with metal bars, not easily ripped apart wood. The bars were made from leftover plastic sprues cut to length and painted metal color. Saturday, September 24, 2011. While working o...

ConfusedDad's Mental Wanderings: August 2011
http://confuseddad23.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 28, 2011. Today's posting is of a Plasticville O-scale hospital I completed last year. After I had glued the pieces together I hit the whole thing with a textured spray paint. It leaves little bumps all over the model and ends up making it look more "beat-up" and worn out (at least to me). A couple of Horrorclix zombies stumble out the front door. I made an evacuation sign like the one in Left 4 Dead, "No Mercy", and printed it out . The green letters are just cut out painted foamcore.

ConfusedDad's Mental Wanderings: January 2012
http://confuseddad23.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 22, 2012. The Mystery Machine Is DONE! Well, almost.). I finally got around to adding the various bits of gear to the top of the van, and attached the impaled zombie to the front. One thing I realized as I started taking pictures is that I forgot to add the license plate to the back to cover the hole there. But for now I'm making an Executive Decision and officially calling this one DONE! Here we have the impaled zombie (well, half a zombie) still clawing the front of the van. Made an une...

ConfusedDad's Mental Wanderings: July 2012
http://confuseddad23.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 14, 2012. One of the people I play games with is a Traffic Engineer with Clark County, WA. He received a letter of complaint about a traffic signal from a local citizen. In the letter he was called "a Neanderthal Traffic Engineer". So I created the following figure and gave it to him last night. And yes, I know that the figure is a Cro-Magnon and not a Neanderthal, but it's close enough. Wednesday, July 4, 2012. I ACTUALLY COMPLETED SOMETHING! Sniper post on top! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

ConfusedDad's Mental Wanderings: November 2011
http://confuseddad23.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 23, 2011. If you've read the earlier batrep then you've seen the following terrain pieces already. This is the Plasticville trailer park (comes with 3 trailers) in O-scale. With a little bit of work I was able to give them to the grubby, run-down look that permeates all my terrain. I'm really proud of the dog turds that I sculpted for this one. And every trailer park needs its. Here's Good Dog Carl - creator of the dog turds:. Thursday, November 3, 2011. Ogres Are Like Onions. J’...
