Our Little House On the Ridge. Sunday, July 31, 2011. Saturday Morning Garage Sale-ing! It is definitely going to be a project to fix it up, but I think it will be well worth it! We are thinking about using it in our bedroom as a wardrobe for clothes and linens. We'll see - it will find it's place somewhere. Here are some pictures of the pie safe. I will post pictures of the finished project in a few weeks! This is the beautiful pie safe! Close up of the tin doors - with some cute helpers on the side!

Our Little House On the Ridge. Adventure 2 - Carving Two Jack-Os October 27, 2011. So, I figured this would be a qualifying event relative to any other normal night. Here we go. A couple of perfectly round pumpkins. Blank slates, ripe for the carving. What to make of these? First cut.it's like the first run on a powder day. So smooth! Jessica had one request - a pumpkin with our monogram. I thought that a pretty simple request, but it ended up taking a lot longer than I thought. Thanks for stopping by!

Our Little House On the Ridge. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. California Dreamin'.We're On Our Way! This afternoon, Whit and I are leaving for California for our Anniversary/Family Wedding trip and we cannot wait! We are going to be spending tonight through Friday morning in San Francisco. And then driving on Friday morning to Sonoma Valley. My cousin, Ryan, is getting married on Saturday in Sonoma and Whit and I are so happy we are going to be there to celebrate his marriage to his beautiful fiance Erin!

It was such a fun way to spend time together sitting on the deck enjoying this beautiful. We always love to entertain and this was especially fun because it was a small group which made it very easy and low key! We received the bamboo chargers as a wedding gift. Rich Chocolate Pecan Pie. 1 1/2 cups pecans. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips. 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell. 4 eggs, beaten. 1/2 cup light brown sugar. 1/2 cup corn syrup. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Confectioners' sugar, for garnish. 1 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. 2 Spread the pecan pieces and the chocolate chips evenly on the bottom of the pie shell. 3 In a mixing bowl, whisk the remaining ingredients together. Ben lives in Knoxville where he is a proud UT Vol. He will graduate in May with a degree in logistics. We're all very proud of him and can't wait to see what's next :). To cater to my undeniable sweet tooth, I tried Naturally Ella's recipe for White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies. They turned out great! This recipe makes LOTS of large cookies, so be sure to invite friends over to help you enjoy them. White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies. 12 tablespoon butter (room temperature preferred). 1 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 3/4 teaspoon baking powder. 2 1/4 cup flour.
