Skip to main content. Walking the Sheep's Head Way. The Sheep's Head Peninsula is the smallest of the five fingers of land stretching out into the Atlantic on the south west coast of Ireland. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty recognised as a European Destination of Excellence (EDEN) and is part of the Wild Atlantic Way driving route. The Second Edition of this book, published in May 2015, has been extended to include a second section describing 17 wonderful loop walks on the peninsula.
