The West Virginia Association for Cave Studies (WVACS) was founded by cavers from Charleston, West Virginia who wanted to explore and study the Great Savannah caves of Greenbrier and Monroe Counties, West Virginia. Among the largest of these were The Hole, McClungs, Benedicts, Ludington, Maxwelton and Organ Caves. WVACS members have contributed to the survey of at least 350 miles.

To explore, survey, and study caves and karst in southeastern West Virginia and to assist karst researchers of all interests. Members pay $5/night and non-members pay $7/night. And everyone pays $1/shower to help defray the cost of our water well. Quite a bargain by any standards! A partial list of our amenities is below:. Potable/drinkable water (hot and cold). Utensils, bowls, pots, pans, skillet, collander, etc. Twelve beds (six bunk beds). Three showers, three toilets. Outdoor sink for cleaning gear.
