My experiences travelling and working in Australia and the surrounding areas. Don’t forget me when I’m gone. It is my final full day in Australia what a weird feeling! It is truly hard to imagine being back in Vancouver after living here for so long. I am very excited to catch up with friends and family back home, but can’t say I won’t miss aspects of life down under. The weather is of course the hardest thing to leave! Followed closely by family (the Sydney Crew, the Melbourne Gang, and the Perth Posse!

My experiences travelling and working in Australia and the surrounding areas. As autumn sets in in Sydney, I keep finding myself thinking that is must be almost Christmas. I think it must be partly due to the season and its traditional lead up to the holidays. It is also due to the fact that last year’s holidays were a bit surreal, so it seems like ages since we’ve celebrated Christmas. Christmas at Orchard Road, Singapore. I mean, there IS a second verse (Upsot? If you want to drag the song out a bit!

Went out to the Opera Bar for Brian’s birthday the other night and were able to soak in the atmosphere of Vivid Sydney. 8211; a lights and arts festival in the city at the moment. While we didn’t take in any of the events or concerts, we did enjoy the various light displays around Circular Quay, as visible here! Enjoy these alternative views of Sydney’s iconic Opera House.
