North East Regional Special Operations Unit. News / June 08. On Monday 8th June 2015 two males were stopped by police in a vehicle driving on the A19 just outside of Middlesbrough, Cleveland. When searched the vehicle was found to contain a significant quantity of controlled drugs, namely heroin. Stephen Lawrence suspect Neil Acourt jailed over 4m drug plot.

North East Regional Special Operations Unit. 1m Funding boost to fight organised crime in the North East. News / September 20. A new crime-fighting facility is to be created for the North East Regional Crime Unit with the help of one million pounds in government funding, bringing together several law enforcement agencies under one roof. The new Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) premises will provide the forces with a new headquarters to base themselves from as they tackle serious and organised crime.
