Richard King - 3D Modeling and Animation. Sunday, 29 March 2009. Adding Sound To The Animation. With the ident animations finished the last part of completing the ident's was too add sound and music. I used a home microphone to record some basic sounds and I spent some time downloading samples to use. I tried to collect a large resource of sounds so I could have a lot to choose from. The sound effects was what I concentrated on first before the background music. The second ident which has the bedroom sce...

Richard King - 3D Modeling and Animation. Thursday, 26 February 2009. Wobbly Toy Men 3DS MAX Tutorial. This Is a tutorial file I followed from the 3ds max tutorial files available from the program itself. It introduces the user to reactors, also to methods such as grouping, ungrouping objects and using proxy objects. Reactors - Rigid Body - Cloth Reactor. In my first example I wanted a ball to roll down a plane and crash into a group of blocks, sending the ball. It is important to select that otherwise y...

Wednesday, 15 October 2008. Creating own Map material. In order to make your own materials to import into 3 DS. Max, I used Photoshop. Here, I made a new file, 3x3cm. I created a small image using the paint brush. I saved it as a bitmap. Back in 3 DS. After this you can drag the material onto the teapot. You can also do this using 'Multi Sub Object' Using different Maps that I have created to cover different parts of the teapot. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Friday, 3 April 2009. Sky One Ident 1. The first Sky One Ident I Have created is going to have a nightime effect in the jungle. I started off with the idea that I would have some sky one text on the scene from the start and have a camera panning around it with the black smoke from Lost travelling at some speed around the SKY ONE logo. The first job was to create the text, but as I hadn't got the Sky one font at this point, I just used some generic text to see what it would look like:. The mouse cursor sh...

Monday, 4 May 2009. Sky One Ident 3. To start with, the idea I came up with for the third Ident was to have the SKY one logo falling from the sky with a camera panning around it. So the first task for me was to animate the text/Logo falling down, again I imported the SKY one text from my first scene and made a chrome material to add to it this time. After I had inserted 'Raytrace' in the reflection map, I saw that the material editor was showing new settings. Now the material was out of the way, I could ...

Thursday, 5 February 2009. Here, I looked into what comedy means to people. My main image in each of the indents. To be the red nose, from comic relief. I chose this as it represents comedy. I found an image of a boy wearing one and smiling. I thought this represented comedy and how it makes us feel, happy. I also found some small images such as the clown, which we think of as comedy, and also people wearing. Links to this post. The red nose walking down street. Another red nose comes along quietly.
