Tour of the Church. A special feature of the ceiling is the number of carved bosses at each of the intersections of the ribs. Until the cleaning and repainting in 1979 the bosses were virtually indistinguishable but they have now been restored to their former glory. Lady Veronica Stonborough herself was responsible for painting many of them.

In August 1893 a memorial window, the subject being the Ascension of our Lord, was placed in the east window, in memory of Fanny Susanna Plumptre, glass by Messrs Lawes, Barrand and Westlake, Sandwell (? Washing of Feet window given in memory of Ellen Blanche Plumtre in 1880.

The Friends of St. Hubert's Church - The Organ

Tour of the Church. The present organ dates from 1886 having originally eight "Speaking" stops and three couplers. A Reed-stop was added in 1932 and a Tremulant. The instrument was overhauled and rebuilt in 1959. In 1969 a Fifteenth and a Twelfth were added to brighten up the organ and the Oboe Reed-stop was replaced by a Horn. Mixture 11, 19, 22.
