delicious ambiguity: Out on the water in ATX
http://katiesdeliciousambiguity.blogspot.com/2015/08/out-on-water-in-atx.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Out on the water in ATX. Austin's iconic Pennybacker Bridge over Lake Austin. I've been lucky enough - thanks to my 2 outstanding bros! To get out on the water a few times since arriving down here, and I have to say it is. SUP-ing with Elaina on Lady Bird Lake. Where diners sit just on the edge of the dock as swans, fish and even turtles beg for leftover scraps. It's like a real-life aquarium! Posted by Katie Dodd. August 5, 2015 at 8:47 PM. delicious ambiguity: October 2014
http://katiesdeliciousambiguity.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Stockholm → Hanoi. There are so many things to love about October. Especially the lingonberry pumpkin muffins I just made. Although they didn't come close to the cranberry pumpkin ones they were inspired by. Love the vines changing color on this house! But this year, Stockholm's October feels like one grey day followed by another. For that, and many more reasons, I'm shipping out. I'm headed to Vietnam! Has anyone ever been to Vietnam? Or to the Ha Giang Province? I finished my...

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. As you can see, Freedmen's. Is serious about their BBQ. And rightfully so. In Austin, BBQ places are a dime a dozen - good BBQ isn't too hard to find. But melt-in-your-mouth BBQ? BBQ brisket thickly sliced, layered across homemade foccacia bread? The edges burnt just the right amount, the center succulent and tender? Not so common. I was literally in BBQ bliss. I wasn't even hungry! At $5, the Sammy sandwich was worth every happy-hour penny. Air conditioners combined with all of...

Posted by Katie Dodd. Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Spanish moss, sand dollars and shooting stars. Last week, we re-charged our batteries. It was a family affair: 15 people, 1 house, on an island together for a week. Bliss. But at the beach, time is on your side, even if the days fly by. My favorite time of day on the beach i...

delicious ambiguity: It's true what they say
http://katiesdeliciousambiguity.blogspot.com/2015/07/its-true-what-they-say.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. It's true what they say. Everything really is bigger in Texas. Except for this poor little bat, that is, who was barely as long as the palm of my hand. His radar honing must have been off because he smacked straight into a window and fell to his fateful demise. Did you know that Austin is home to the largest urban population of bats in the world? Sunday, August 24, 2014. Öland is Swedish for "island country" and that is exactly what this piece of land is: a skinny, 140 kilometer-long island of Swedish paradise located just off the southeast coast of the mainland. At the beginning of time,. Lake Vättern in the middle of Sweden was carved out by a giant, who grabbed a chunk of earth and threw it into the Baltic Sea to form what today we call. We arrived last Friday afternoon, driving north for almost an hour once we crossed the. On Saturday, NS and...

Thursday, July 24, 2014. Quenching our thirst on a summer night. Heat warning is in full effect. I'm certainly not complaining. And so I made summer smoothie. The ice cream place, Fryst. Next-door to our apartment. Which I know you'll be shocked to find out I haven't been to yet even though we've lived here for 3 months now! It consisted of exactly what you see here:. Plus some crushed flax seed and chia seeds. And a spoonful of vanilla kvarg. Posted by Katie Dodd. Monday, July 14, 2014. Shoes - 1, Me - 0.

delicious ambiguity: Re-adjusting to 'murica
http://katiesdeliciousambiguity.blogspot.com/2015/05/re-adjusting-to-murica.html
Wednesday, May 27, 2015. It's been exactly 27 days since we've arrived back in the States, and I have to admit I'm still adjusting. It's been wonderful and hectic, as every vacation here has been for the past few years. But this time, the vacation is continuing into real life. (Although we're not quite there yet.). Vacation mode along the Hudson in New York City. Thanks for taking me back, America. Now let's see about starting a real life here. Posted by Katie Dodd. May 27, 2015 at 3:47 PM. Life is about...
