Monday, June 22, 2009. Sunday in Zihuatanejo - Day 3. It then escalated into an incredible lightning show. This photograph courtesy of Peter Carey. Sunday evening, we got a small tropical rain that came in after 5:00 PM. After walking Playa Madera, we headed up the steps to Hotel Las Brisas to catch a cab back to Que Ve Al Mar for some cooling off in the pool. After lunch, we headed up Play Principal to Playa Madera. Tuesday, June 23, 2009. This picture was taken about 7:00 PM on Monday night. THe waves crashing up on the north side of Zihua bay. Lucia wearing the required lunch Sombrero :-). Monday, June 22nd - We are expecting Tropical Storm Andres to arrive anytime today, so we think we are going to venture in to Ixtapa before it does. As soon as we arrived in Ixtapa, boom! Wind gusts up to 50-70 miles per hour, huge waves and then, the rain - sheets, buckets, but the most awesome thing was? Rough life. Ahhhhh.
