Trailhead: And now you're back! From outer space!
http://amandalthrasher.blogspot.com/2009/09/and-now-youre-back-from-outer-space.html
Tuesday, September 15, 2009. And now you're back! OK, so I didn't go to outer space. (But I did go to Utah. Close enough.). I'm now going through the pretty significant realization that I'm moving in 14 days. And it's far enough that I can't really pack yet, because the stuff I'm going to pack is stuff I'm going to need until then, but I don't want to pack while Dani's here, but I don't have much choice. It's just hard to get there. Hahaha.and pick up john on your way here! But itd just be nice enough to...

Trailhead: December 2008
http://amandalthrasher.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 8, 2008. Are we there yet? 45 more classes, and then my college career is OVER! My new fervent hope- please, please, not JMU.anyone but JMU.I just couldn't handle it. I started taking everything too seriously again, all this shit in university that doesn't matter. I forgot how absurd it all is, the hoops we have the jump through and the games we have to play to get the accreditation we need to have an affect on the world in the way we hope. Everything became so important. However, I do h...

Thursday, April 30, 2009. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? The Scene: Amanda is in the McDonald's bathroom stall. Small child and mother come into the bathroom. Small child knocks on stall door. Amanda: Someone's already in here. Child: (pauses.) You're already in there? Amanda: Yes, I'm already in here. Child: (whispering to her mother) There's already someone in there! Mother: Right. Let's not bother her. Child: I wanna see what her face looks like! Thursday, April 23, 2009. I wanted to come up ...

Trailhead: August 2009
http://amandalthrasher.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 25, 2009. First and foremost, BREAK by Hannah Moskowitz is officially out! I wrote a quick review of it on Amazon:. Jonah is on a mission to break all his bones. There, you've got the plot of the book. Moskowitz has written a fantastic debut novel. Jonah's voice stays present through the whole book and doesn't lose much steam in the middle, the way many first-person novels do. I would recommend this book to anyone (as long aren't a pansy when it comes to blood and pain.). I also just read...

Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Feminism v. Twilight. Let me preface this by saying that I really enjoyed reading Twilight. It’s fantastic mind candy. I gobbled it up in like three days. Recently, I read an interesting article that brought up some points I think are worth thinking about. Even though I liked it, there’s some parts of it that you have to wonder about. Point 1: Edward can seriously be a jerk. Furthermore, who wants to be told what kind of car they’re going to drive? Decision is Edward’s.

While I would LOVE it if you read this blog too, (it's more ramblings and musings than what's actually going on with me/NOLA/Hagar's House,) this is the blog I would like you to link on your websites:. I'm following you guys on this. Much love, and I hope all your work is going fabulously. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). We're Not in Kansas Anymore. View my complete profile.

Trailhead: March 2009
http://amandalthrasher.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Happy Birthday.um.maybe not. Derek and I broke up yesterday. So that was pretty much suck, especially since it was my birthday. But now we're very amicable, and talking more than we actually were last week. Which makes me wonder what the hell happened anyway. Emotion attached, even if I'm not sure what it should be yet. In other news, I got myself Reviving Ophelia. For my birthday. I'm about halfway through it and it's absolutely amazing. I'll post a little more on it aft...OK, s...

Trailhead: May 2009
http://amandalthrasher.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 22, 2009. The "dangit I didn't get Mission Intern" has mostly worn off, mostly between the hours of 1-2 AM when I couldn't get to sleep because I was so excited. Well, I was also excited about heading up to Delaware to visit some of Shirley's friends today, but mostly about US-2. And, AGAIN, I have been paralyzed, because there really isn't anything for me to do right now. (Crap.) Which leads us back to Shirley's constant declarations of, "You need a job.". So now you know. Bitter: John and I...

Trailhead: Crack of the Week
http://amandalthrasher.blogspot.com/2009/08/crack-of-week.html
Thursday, August 20, 2009. Crack of the Week. In case you haven't picked up on this particular quirk (i.e. neurosis) in my personality, there's something you should know. I have a bit of an addictive personality. Which is pretty awesome when I get addicted to something productive like, I don't know, PRACTICING, but is less exciting when it's something like Monopoly. In the past few days. (Windows doesn't believe in "Fullmetal," either. WHY DO YOU HATE JAPAN, BILL GATES? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
