Kachchh of the Day. India No details spared. Thursday, June 24, 2010. The Big Bhuj Birthday Beach Bash. There are three fellows in Bhuj. And their birthdays are June 18, June 20, and June 24. This crazy coincidence led me to formulate one crazy idea way back in November 2009. Dave and Lily come from the southlands. While a few of the fellows were a bit too far to attend, we did get three newcomers to the town who blew away everyone else! WHOOOOOAAA summer break 2010 Mandvi beach! The Bash kicked off with...

Kachchh of the Day. India No details spared. Monday, August 2, 2010. The Best and Worst of. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to write this post (oh okay, 6 months), but the time has finally come and after some intense contemplation, negotiating, and last minute cuts, I've narrowed down my top 10 things I will and will not miss when I leave this subcontinent. They can be found in detail below, but first a comment on my current state:. I mean, it's not like I really needed. I WILL NOT MISS.

Kachchh of the Day: One Last Hurrah

http://www.andrewcarmona.blogspot.com/2010/07/one-last-hurrah.html

Kachchh of the Day. India No details spared. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. I've done a 48-er straight before. I still have another 8 hour train to catch after this. This is just one way. In 4 days I will take it all back to Bhuj, to the tune of 47 hours. Of the next eight days of my life, over half will be on trains. 105 of 192 hours. Gabe and I begin my 12-day journey on a fitting 12-hour train Bhuj-Valsad where we disembark to discover something I'd been searching for for the last 2 months: the monsoon!

I am writing from the dining room table of my new apartment. I have been in the apartment for 2 weeks now. One day less than that if you take into account the first night, when I was locked out of the house.
