Saturday, 18 January 2014. NY Trip Day 1 (part I): Where, When, What? We arrived in NY at the end of one of the coldest weeks in history the city and the US had seen. A polar vortex had sat over the country bringing crazy weather, lots of snow and temperatures of -50c in some areas! Having said that, we were so lucky! We had beautiful sunny days all along, apart from Wednesday, when we planned to spend the day indoors on a museum marathon. But let's get down to the beginning. We stayed at the Empire Hotel.
