Friday, August 1, 2014. What's In Season - August. Local seasonal foods are tastier, fresher and more nutritious. Why? It’s because the produce has been harvested in the last few days and has only traveled a short distance to market. This means less packaging, processing and refrigeration. Big A, Little A, and Momma Chae: Tourette's Syndrome

http://mommachae.blogspot.com/2015/03/tourettes-syndrome.html

Friday, March 27, 2015. I’ve been given a new diagnosis. Actually, my daughter was given a diagnosis. Being a mom, though, means that this diagnosis is actually my. World now. This diagnosis will be researched, feared, reviled, loved, and ultimately. Because I’m a mom. And my imperfect self loves in a perfect and unconditional ferocity this girl that I gave birth to eight years ago. I read about the statistics, famous individuals with the same diagnosis, and joined the support groups and newsletters.

CUCINA CARA MIA.Random thoughts from "my dear kitchen" about food, travel, Italy, San Diego and life! Sunday, January 6, 2013. NEW YEAR, NEW RECIPES. Hard to believe another year has passed by. I am looking forward to creating more Italian desserts, and looking for new recipes to try and make my own. Recently, I came across another Giada recipe:. RASPBERRY POUNDCAKE WITH VIN SANTO CREAM. 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting the loaf pan. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.

CUCINA CARA MIA.Random thoughts from "my dear kitchen" about food, travel, Italy, San Diego and life! Saturday, March 24, 2012. Finally.a gluten free recipe! I have been fighting the whole "gluten-free" bandwagon since I started my business 2 years ago. I thought, how could you make a really good dessert without flour, eggs, or butter? There were many times when customers asked if I could make a gluten free cheesecake or did I have any vegan items on the menu.the answer was always, sorry, no I don't.

It's inspired by a combination of the San Francisco Bay and a recent trip to Death Valley National Park. Inspiration comes in many forms and I'm finding you can't always control it or make things happen. They just naturally evolve. Seaside Calm 48 x 60. Saturday, January 5, 2013. Darwin Falls 11 x 14. Barefoot in the Park

Barefoot in the Park. Play While You Play…. I mainly have pictures this week. We decided to take the week off. We had a few days of 70 degree weather (that ironically came right after an ice storm that put our county in a state of emergency) that were just screaming for a field trip. So we headed to the Greensboro Science Center. The Museum of Life and Science. And finally the Children’s Museum of Alamance County. I hope everyone had a good week! March 15, 2014.
