Monday, 10 August 2015. The season for insects. As flowers such as Hardheads, Thistles, Borage and Bramble come into bloom, a great variety of different insects can be found here too. Butterflies, wasps, bees, hoverflies and much more visit these nectar-rich flowers, providing a great place to observe these cool creatures. The latest news from Bardsey Bird and Field Observatory. West Midland Bird Club Week 2016. Voluntary Assistant placements for 2016. Staying at Bardsey Lodge. Bardsey NGB week 2016. Monday, 11 May 2015. Despite the somewhat breezy conditions, there was a good arrival of common migrants on the island, with good movements of passerines over land logged during the day. Warbler numbers remained more or less the same as in the last few days, with 30 Sedge Warblers. Recorded, along with 20 Spotted Flycatchers.
