Runners And Riders: Clegg For Leader
http://runnersandriders.blogspot.com/2006/01/clegg-for-leader.html
Wednesday, January 11, 2006. Joins Iain Dale in urging the LibDems to choose Nick Clegg- even though the latter is backing Ming:. Turn the sound back on, and you discover that what Mr Clegg has to say is spot on for his party and its future. He is acutely conscious of the threat of a revitalised Conservative Party. He does not think that "clobbering middle England is the solution to our problems either economically or politically". Test that picked Cameron. Like his fellow contributors to the often-cited...

Random opinions, ideas, and comments. Wednesday, June 07, 2006. Why pay the water bill? I was astonished to read on the BBC yesterday. That 15% of the country refuse to pay their water bills, and that water companies are not allowed to cut off supply if they don't. Fifteen percent! That's mind-boggling. Do the water companies send in bailiffs to try to recover this, or can they not be bothered? Can't believe Bishop Hill. Posted by tomdg at 4:08 AM. Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, United Kingdom. Random opinions, ideas, and comments. Friday, February 01, 2008. I disagreed with Thought For The Day. Whoever the speaker was they said that faith and politics getting together was always a bad thing. Well, this is what I say. Martin Luther King. End of argument. Posted by tomdg at 4:43 AM. Random opinions, ideas, and comments. Tuesday, May 02, 2006. I was going to reply to Cheryl's post on immigration. But since my reply ended up being longer than her post, I thought it should probably go here instead. Immigration has been on the news a lot recently. Here in the UK it's been the wave of immigration from Eastern Europe which has made the headlines most recently. So both the UK and US have immigrants as a key part of their economy, the difference being their legal status. Fundamentally I...

Random opinions, ideas, and comments. Friday, October 20, 2006. Is Saddam Hussein Guilty of Genocide? Note: this post or fragment of a post is not very topical - I wrote it a while ago in response to a news item about Saddam Hussein being tried for genocide against the Kurdish people and / or the "Marsh Arabs". I can't remember if I wanted to add to it, and if so what. Is Saddam Hussein Guilty of Genocide? Posted by tomdg at 5:11 AM. Monday, October 16, 2006. In Praise of Extremism. Look at all the suici...

http://tomdg.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 16, 2006. I've signed up to FAWM. Twice I thought I'd try something musical; it is after all more "me" than writing prose. You can see my progress here. Including lyrics for the songs I've finished and in some cases demos. Please send me comments if you listen to them. And before anyone says it, I'm definitely not planning on giving up the day job! Posted by tomdg at 10:39 am. Monday, February 06, 2006. Education, education, education. This is really a comment on this thread. Brought t...

http://daviddavisleader.blogspot.com/2005/11/party-that-likes-to-say-yes.html
David Davis for leader. Bloggers for Davis as next Conservative leader. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. The Party That Likes To Say Yes! Do you remember TSB-. The Bank That Likes To Say Yes! 1mb TV ad download here. The SDP's Danny Finkelstein. Reckons the Tory Party should copy it. And he makes DC our yes-man, pitched against DD's no-man, a case spun from that Sky hustings. We have a situation where the centre of many cities and towns in this country are no-go areas for decent people. Simple as that huh?

David Davis for leader: Moving On
http://daviddavisleader.blogspot.com/2005/12/moving-on.html
David Davis for leader. Bloggers for Davis as next Conservative leader. Tuesday, December 06, 2005. Naturally we’re disappointed, but we’ll fully support David Cameron as our new leader. Loyalty is right and proper, and unless we can manage it, our party will never return to government. DC has won fair and square, and while we may challenge his policies, we will support the man. So congratulations to him, and commiserations to DD. So we’ve learned- or perhaps more accurately, fully understood- that prese...

David Davis for leader: The Greasy Pole
http://daviddavisleader.blogspot.com/2005/12/greasy-pole.html
David Davis for leader. Bloggers for Davis as next Conservative leader. Sunday, December 04, 2005. Reports frenetic activity around DC's greasy pole. Naturally much of it is self-promotion. But plenty of energy is also being directed at doing down DD. According to anonymous well-wishers:. A Cameron ally said yesterday: "Davis's reputation has fallen dramatically. There is no question in our minds that the leader of the Right is now Liam Fox.". In a cooing profile of DC. The S Times expands:. For the Came...
