Black Cats n' Broomsticks. A place to organize my Book of Shadows. Source: http:/ wrednawiedzma.deviantart.com/art/Witch-and-her-cat-61793307. I found this while browsing the internet awhile back and loved it. All my life, we've had a cat - I can't imagine a household without one! Blessed be, Jenn. Materials: envelope, cat’s hair clippings, your own hair clippings and a picture of your cat. Beloved cat, beloved friend,. May our friendship never end. From whiskers’ edge to tip of tail,. I live in a townho...

Black Cats n' Broomsticks: October 2010

http://blackcatsnbroomsticks.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Black Cats n' Broomsticks. A place to organize my Book of Shadows. Aving been without home internet for the spring and summer, my blog(s) were sadly neglected. Work was crazy busy over the summer (all the little munchkins - and their parents - out and about looking for something to do) and only now are we settling down into our regular schedule (which can still get hectic, but nowhere near as bad! Behind the Fairy Tale Page. My reading lists blog [long neglected; will be updated soon]. Once Upon a Time.

Black Cats n' Broomsticks: I hate lawnmowers...

http://blackcatsnbroomsticks.blogspot.com/2010/05/i-hate-lawnmowers.html

Black Cats n' Broomsticks. A place to organize my Book of Shadows. Warning: this is a rant.or at least starts out that way. I don't normally swear - if I do, it's usually (though not always ;-) "crap on a stick". Sometimes, however, moments call for stronger language. They start early - 7 am I don't appreciate waking up to the sound (and smell - ick! Of a gas-powered lawnmower (it's bad enough we live right next door to a large hardward/lumber store - they start at 5 am! It had that thick-looking leather...

Garden Update: Mostly Green With a Dash of Red. Cucumbers w/onions and beets. Hanging strawberry plant with lots flowers! Beets (not growing so well =(. Bunches of baby carrots! And lots of baby strawberries! And the dash of red - the rose in full bloom with droplets from the recent thunderstorms. At a certain point in the journey all you can do is laugh.". Horticulturally Hopeless: Weather, weather me not!

http://horticulturallyhopeless.blogspot.com/2010/05/weather-weather-me-not.html

Weather, weather me not! I started outside at 8 am (was up at 6:30 for buttercream making - gah! I'm definitely going to need a nap later.) and at that time, it was sunny and warm and nice, with a slight breeze. Oh, what a small hour can make! I managed to get in the sweet woodruff (I planted it around the bricks for the bird bath), the fern, the major clump of lily of the valley, and the lungwort (though she looks a little raggy and might not make it! And I'm most definitely going to need more soil.

Horticulturally Hopeless: Dirty Hands!

http://horticulturallyhopeless.blogspot.com/2010/05/dirty-hands.html

Http:/ www.offthemark.com/main.htm. There was a frost warning last night and today, but it got nicer this evening. Thus, I went out and got my hands dirty! Also made a place (with a few bricks) for the bird bath underneath the ash (where the bird feeder lives) in a corner of the shade bed. The plan is to plant around it (something trailing? So it covers the base of the bath. At a certain point in the journey all you can do is laugh.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm single, 30 (eek! O( * *H*aving...

Horticulturally Hopeless: Butterflies...

http://horticulturallyhopeless.blogspot.com/2010/05/butterflies.html

Went for a walk with Charlie (the dog) this afternoon. I should. Have been out planting, but it's suppose to climb to the 20s tomorrow and Sunday, so I put it off until then. There is an old railway line that's been turned into a nice little wooded path, which is where we went. As Charlie sniffed and, ah .watered. everything ;-), I saw 5 (! Butterflies. I think they were (thanks to wiki. Milbert's Tortoiseshell, but my butterfly identification is apparently not up to par. I'm single, 30 (eek! Image: Migr...

http://horticulturallyhopeless.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Gardening 101 - Year 2. You would think, that after attempting a garden one year, I would be better prepared (or at least trained) for a second year. So far, I've planted Dahlia bulbs, yellow roses (mini), pansies (purple and orangey-yellow), geraniums (red and white), three other types of blubs which I can't for the life of me think of what they are at the moment, and a bleeding heart. I would like to get a strawberry plant (or two) and a rhubarb plant. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm single, 30 (eek!

Horticulturally Hopeless: Me!

http://horticulturallyhopeless.blogspot.com/p/me.html

Oy, does that sound conceited or what? I love cats, books (reading books should be a need, not a want! I'm a romantic and a dreamer; I still believe in love at first sight, true love, soulmates. but I'm also practical. I'm approaching 30 and (trying to) see this as just another progession in life. I would love to share my life with someone - a soulmate, a partner, a spouse - but I'm coming to realize that it will happen when the time is right. But, for the most part, I am content with who I am. I tend to...

Or something like that ;-). I have something growing! Whether it's the seeds I planted, I'm not quite sure (the black thumb/gardening idiot thing at work), but something's growing! And cucumber seedlings with mushrooms, of course. ;-). At a certain point in the journey all you can do is laugh.". Last day of vacation (sigh.). So why did the very last day. Of my vacation turn out to have the nicest weather? It probably reached high-teens to mid-twenties, at least. Grrr. Chives - 1 row. Parsley - 1 row.

Black Cat's Miaow

A cabinet of curiosities. Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Photo Inspiration this week.OG 222. This lovely calming photo is the inspiration for two cards I made this week. I had thought to go off into a dreamy haze of greys and blacks, maybe with a hint of bling, but instead I went to the golden end of the spectrum for both. Wonder what other people created this week? Links to this post. Sunday, February 14, 2016. Love is all you need. And a little bit of money doesn't hurt! My favourite colours just ARE black ...
