Saturday, July 9, 2011. Day 4 - On to Mt. Shasta. Ok so this is more like Day 3 continued with a bit of Day 4. Pictures of normal camping activities . 1st attempt at ribs. WINNING. Friday July 8th 2011. So today was a quick hop of about 120 miles into California, to Mount Shasta. And the KOA Mount Shasta. That's about it for me here. So after the night of the busted RV we're up pretty early, which is good because we have a MASSIVE drive ahead of us and it starts with a revisit of the 6 miles of crappy unpaved road shaking the crap out of us! We were going to carry on up the US 101 all the way into Washington but, the kids (and we) needed less RV time and more play time so we decided to get a spot at the originally named Sea and Sand RV Park. Geez Grandpa, why do you read me this stuff? Friday, July 08, 2011. TTRVE - Day 4. Today we took a short drive down US 97 to I-5 and to the Mt. Shasta KOA. But here we are at a KOA. And it's pretty cool. They have a (ice cold) swimming pool, and a neat playground for the kids, and they are showing a movie on a big screen behind the office where there is shuffleboard, horseshoes, and a big bbq pit. So there's Mt. Shasta. Charlie dug it. And Charlie shows off what kind of chill zone we are talking about.
