So I just had my first foray into the medicine side of pregnancy. My husband and I met with the nurse for “education” and so I could get blood drawn and pee in a cup. It was interesting to say the least. I can not say I learned anything new when it comes down to it, but it got me thinking about pregnancy in America. So where is the research to back up all this?

Fun times with internal ultrasounds and a bit of talking with the doctor. My main thought after today is all women – pregnant or not – deserve a medal for having to endure things like sitting nude in paper for 20 mins in a strange place, pap smears, internal ultra sounds, and so on.
