Cameron's Brew Journal

9679; Writing Journal. 9679; Brew Journal. 9679; Garden Journal. Thursday, March 27, 2014. By Agriculture And Stock Department,. Publicity Branch [Public domain],. I've got something planned. Actually two things. But I will do them simultaneously. And, weather permitting, I'll try them tomorrow. The other experiment that I am going to do is to split the batch and use two yeast strains. So basically, I will end up with two different beers, but with some very similar characteristics. What am I making?

Cameron's Brew Journal: Empty Carboys

http://brewjournal.truckpoetry.net/2012/08/empty-carboys.html

9679; Writing Journal. 9679; Brew Journal. 9679; Garden Journal. Monday, August 13, 2012. Bottled up the cider Sunday, half sweetened/half dry, which leaves me with only one empty case of bottles, but another problem - four empty carboys. I am not sure I'm going to pull off another 20 gallon brew day again, but I could very well pull off 15. We will see how it goes. In the meantime, what are you brewing? Posted by Cameron Mathews. 9679; Writing Journal. 9679; Brew Journal. 9679; Garden Journal. Sunday, October 17, 2010. Batch 25.2 - American Brown Ale and Mash Tun Inauguration and Calibrating Stuffs. So, I finished the mash tun upgrades (put barbs and high temp tubing on the inside) and am testing it out with my American Brown Ale. I'm also using this brew to calibrate and figure out the variances on some of my equipment. So here's the hose barb and high temp tubing:. Here's the finished mash tun inside:. Estimated Pre-boil OG: 1&...

9679; Writing Journal. 9679; Brew Journal. 9679; Garden Journal. Monday, April 6, 2015. Color of the Day. Grey day, hazy day,. Fog lifted yards above the ground. The light filtered, slightly green. Brightens new spring growth. Muting all the reds. The morning drags with hint of rain. Through to the afternoon. When finally the burning sun. Illuminates the ground below. Finally the solar exit. Lunar time has come. With reflected day light. Comes silver brightness on a window. All else in blue-black shadow.

9679; Writing Journal. 9679; Brew Journal. 9679; Garden Journal. Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Always yes or no with this one. No, I didn't mean "yes" or "no" -. I meant "yes or no" as in. Never a firm commitment. All I really wanted to do was. Go grab some lunch, and I asked. To check availability, and it's "maybe.". What's the time limit on a "maybe" anyway? An hour, a week, five minutes before definitive? All I know is I'm off to grab a sandwich. Posted by Cameron Mathews. Tuesday, June 11, 2013.

I owned the world. Just sayin' friend-o. That maybe there's something coming. Your way that you aren't yet aware. Of I mean, hey, who am I to tell you. What to do, right? There is to know about just about everything. But just in case there is one thing. You may have forgotten there, you might. Posted by Cameron Mathews.

Truckpoetry - Cameron's Garden Journal: November 2010

9679; Writing Journal. 9679; Brew Journal. 9679; Garden Journal. Thursday, November 18, 2010. So I have decided that eggplants and bell peppers are a great garden-type vegetable investment. Here we are, middle of November, and all of those plants are still cranking out vegetables. On top of that, they are big, healthy plants that take up a good space in the garden. I pulled 5 peppers for a King Ranch Chicken Casserole. Posted by Cameron Mathews. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

This site is dedicated to the noble crusade to create the perfect alcoholic beverage. It started as a site dedicated to just brewing , specifically homebrewing. It was initiated by Jay (aka Male Order Bride) and myself in the fall of 1999. But since then my curiosity has expanded to include wine as well. This site will be a work inprogress that will in all reality never be completed. However, the site layout I intend to have (as developed after 30-45 seconds of deep thought) is as follows:.
