Monday, October 20, 2014. MBA Father-Son Camp Out. They couldn't have had finer weather for a fall camp out . . . the temps were cool but not cold, the sky was clear, and the camp fires smelled so good! For this year's annual MBA-wide Father-Son camp out, we had about 135 lads and dads, and if the laughter and shouting were any indication, they all had a marvelous time. They started pulling in on Friday, and by Saturday afternoon, they had the campground looking like a filled campground! Monday, September 12, 2011. ALERT Cadet Alabama 3rd Alpha. This past weekend we had the Alert Cadet Squad up at the camp. I believe when the numbers finally came in there were a total of 12. Vernon and his two boys were the first to arrive on Thursday afternoon and quickly set up camp. He was the head man or 'General' for this particular outing and definitely an experienced camper. Tear out all paneling in Ladie's bathroom. Replace paneling with OSB boards. C Install corrugated metal on bottom half of walls. E Install plastic/vinal board on top half of walls. 2 Trim back tree limbs from all roads. 3 Spray all electrical boxes in campground area with fluorescent orange paint. 4 Re-stock firewood in both campground and pavilion area. 5 Repair flashing on pavilion roof around fire place. 6 Build small deck on Silty Bottom Pond (lower pond).

Directions To The Camp. Directions To The Camp. Coming from Huntsville, head North on Winchester Road. Go through downtown New Market AL. Once you cross the bridge as you leave New Market, turn left at the first road you come to (Hillsboro Circle).about a mile. You will go around one curve and Hillsboro Drive is the first road on your left. Follow it until you run out of pavement.then keep following the gravel road into the campground.
