Camp Macoba: ALERT Cadet Alabama 3rd Alpha
http://campmacoba.blogspot.com/2011/09/this-past-weekend-we-had-alert-cadet.html
Monday, September 12, 2011. ALERT Cadet Alabama 3rd Alpha. This past weekend we had the Alert Cadet Squad up at the camp. I believe when the numbers finally came in there were a total of 12. Vernon and his two boys were the first to arrive on Thursday afternoon and quickly set up camp. He was the head man or 'General' for this particular outing and definitely an experienced camper. I got this directly from their website, "The vision. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Enjoy some scenes from the camp!

Camp Macoba: November 2014
http://campmacoba.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 10, 2014. Cold temps didn't stop the Whitesburg RAs from having a good time at their annual fall camp out! They came in late on Friday and settled in quickly. Because of the cold, they set up around (and under) the pavilion - near the fire! Saturday morning was a pancake morning and then they settled into crafts and activities and games. One of the crafts involved stockings . . . And this young man worked very diligently on his. All in all, despite the cold, they had a great time! The bo...

Camp Macoba: September 2014
http://campmacoba.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 15, 2014. Girl Scout Troop 264. The only thing more fun than a new group up at the camp, is a new group that's also new to camping! That was the way of it this past weekend, when Girl Scout Troop 264 came out for their inaugural camp out. A few of the adults came out ahead, to get their tents set up first, but before dark arrived, all the girls and their moms were present, and all tents were up! One last arrival and the ladies made short work of getting the tent set up!

Camp Macoba: May 2014
http://campmacoba.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 27, 2014. This group, mostly families from Farley Community Church, had the right idea! They started pulling in on Friday, and by Saturday afternoon, they had the campground looking like a filled campground! A couple families stayed in pop-up campers, one pulled a (new) trailer camper, and one had a 5th wheel camper. The rest of the families had tents all over the place . . . We walked up during dinner time on Saturday evening (of course! But alas, it was just for drying boots. The weather w...

Camp Macoba: May 2015
http://campmacoba.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Wears Chapel Baptist Fish Fry. Sunday afternoon was a little rainy, but it cleared up just in time for our Wears Chapel group to come in and enjoy some fellowship. When they got there, most of the crew headed straight down to Secret Creek and splashed their way up and down the water! The group stayed down there until the fish were ready. It was a fun afternoon of splish-splashing and chit-chatting! Life of Christ Fellowship Family Camping. We hope they'll be back again soon! After ...

Friday, May 1, 2015. Two Eagle Projects Completed! The Camp has been the beneficiary of several Boy Scouts working on Eagle Scout projects this year. The first project finish was one that's been near and dear to the heart of the camp - taking the Nature Trail and adding tree/plant identification markers:. And over twenty birdhouses:. We are very thankful for Ethan and Troop 8 for all the hard work and effort that went into getting the project finished. They did a great job! The year's at the spring,.
