Saturday, 29 August 2009. Today is a monumentus day, because today, I have received my first fabric postcard ta dah! It is from an American lady called Deb Martin. We signed up to do a mermaid fabric post card swap and this is hers, it shows her mermaid which has just dropped its comb and mirror and gone to hide behind a rock. Best pull my finger out and finish my cards now! It doesn't take much to make me happy these days! Wednesday, 26 August 2009. Well what do you think to this piece? My friend Janet ...

My Stitching Diary: July 2013

Friday, 5 July 2013. In January 2012 I decided that it was about time I finished off some of the many UFO's that I have acquired [obviously through no fault of my own]. I have now finished the Leanne Beasley. Block of the month called Leanne's House. I really wasn't sure what colour to do it in so initially I used a jelly roll that I had bought many moons ago. I think the middle block is my favourite . I really enjoyed making this little wall hanging and I have always wanted to make a mystery quilt.

Friday, 9 August 2013. Heart of the Home. And another one, I have still been working on all my unfinished projects and I think there may be some light at the end of the tunnel! My problem is, I enjoy making the blocks but just never put them together and finish them off, but, this one is now finished and I am planning on putting this one on our bed [and not in the bottom of the wardrobe where everything else seems to go]. This picture is of a close up of the middle block which is probably my favourite!

My Stitching Diary: September 2012
http://rachel-mystitchingdiary.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Friday, 21 September 2012. With a little help from my friend! Took me twice as long as what it should have done tonight to layer this quilt up, due to the fact that my little friend really thought she was helping! Wednesday, 19 September 2012. My lovely daughter Abigail may have caught the patchwork and stitchery bug! Initially, she was going to make a sampler quilt but like me, she likes the quilt with stitchery blocks in them and this one by Anne Downs ticks all the boxes! Thursday, 13 September 2012.

Wednesday, 19 June 2013. Baltimore Quilt [part 2]. I went to the next session for the Baltimore quilt last week, and have now done the next 4 blocks - I am really enjoying it and the blocks are coming together really well. Again, for some reason I have lost the ability to rotate the pictures - so you will have to look at them with your head on one side! Well, us sewing ladies do do very strange things for our craft! Lyn's Quilt Cottage: Happy Easter and Rag Rugs
http://lynsquiltcottage.blogspot.com/2010/04/happy-easter-and-rag-rugs.html
Sunday, April 4, 2010. Happy Easter and Rag Rugs. Happy Easter Sunday everyone. I have been indulging in something related to quilting but not at all quilty. Well it uses all the scraps and strips that you couldn't find a use for and had trouble coming to grips with. I was challenged at my Quilty group the other day to make a Rag Rug. So in the process of having a cleanout I found a container of strips all ready cut and a crochet hook so I set to. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Friday Night Sew In.
