Tuesday, July 23, 2013. I finally found a moment to dust of the bike and get out and ride and boy was Oreo excited to come! Last week I was finally able to upgrade my car to something more reliable, and yes, it has a roof rack. With most of the house repairs done, I decided to take the girls canoeing at Lake Elmo for the afternoon. I spent most of the day on the bank while the girls played in the water. Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Since getting my tires, I've really started to enjoy biking on the ice and snow. Its a whole new challenge. You don't control the bike. You just let the bike go where its going to go and correct it when you need to. It's a little unnerving but if you try to control the bike, you are going down. Sunday, January 8, 2012. Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Me and Oreo hanging at the river waiting for the girls. Back in March, the girls and I decided that it was finally time, we needed a dog! We no longer had resistance to that idea so it was time to make the jump and try our luck. On April Fools Day we brought home Oreo and boy did I. Turn out to be the fool. Thursday, November 24, 2011. I rode out to Lockwood up the hill on the Old Hardin Road. It was a rather uneventful ride except having to dodge all of the gravel, rocks, potholes and debris on the roads and path. I hit a rock that appeared out of nowhere and spent the next ten minutes repairing the resultant pinch flat. When I got back to town, on probably the busiest road of my trip, I finally turned over 4,000 miles. I can now put the bike away for the winter without thinking about the last 20 miles.
