Taxies and Subways: August 2009
http://taxiesandsubways.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 24, 2009. A Rough Sketch of Things. The story is still the same for after graduation as it is today. I will go wherever God wants me for however long God wants me there. I will do whatever he tells me to do in whatever place he puts me in. What does that actually look like in my life? Do I look into buying a used car? If God has me here for awhile than I need a car. If God doesn’t have me here much longer than is my car going to make it? Friday, August 21, 2009. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Taxies and Subways: August 2010
http://taxiesandsubways.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 21, 2010. I’ve been here in Clarkston for about three weeks now. Clarkston? This past week was a little bit different, because instead of classes and outreach we got away and prayed and fasted for four days. This was a time to exam our hearts and let God convict us in areas where we have wronged him. It was also a time to seek direction for our time in Clarkston and after. Is this a strange concept to you? Fasting and confessing sin? This is going to be an awesome week coming up! And I'm...

Taxies and Subways: Transitions
http://taxiesandsubways.blogspot.com/2011/01/transitions.html
Sunday, January 2, 2011. I feel like transitions can be a little strange. They can be tiring or confusing or just different. They can be sad, but also exciting. I feel like I’ve learned a lot from times of transition. God usually uses transitions to teach me about trusting him. So I went on to day five where God creates the creatures that live in the sea and birds! I think I was getting pretty excited at this point. My sister knocked on my door to ask who I was talking to so I told her the story. After a...

Taxies and Subways: July 2010
http://taxiesandsubways.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 25, 2010. Here are some pictures from the weekend. If given a choice, I would choice the almost green waters of Galveston over the more sought after blue waters of Florida or Mexico. I love this side of the gulf. I grew up here. Thursday, July 15, 2010. Sweek on the Sweek. Taxies and Subways: February 2010
http://taxiesandsubways.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 1, 2010. Spending sometime overseas has taught me to expect an exhausting phenomenon we know as culture shock. It is normally a symptom of travels achieved by long plane rides and extended stays in new places. What I learned this week was culture shock can be just as felt without the plane ride and new country. I had no clue that walking into my first Chin apartment would bring back waves of this familiar feeling. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Hayes: December 2012
http://timhayesfamily.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 22, 2012. Levi had a few Christmas snacks . . . Josiah and his "helpers". Tim looks super excited about his present. You can almost feel the anticipation radiating from everyone. Joel picked these out for me, hid them, and then wrapped them by himself. I had no idea what he got me until today. And yes . . . I will wear them. :). Caleb got Dadda a flashlight and made him a special card. Joel lost his FIRST tooth eating cinnamon rolls for breakfast! First pic without a tooth. Phil tossed...

The Hayes: June 2013
http://timhayesfamily.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 29, 2013. Trip to the Wild West - Days 6 thru 9. Day 6: Virginia City. We visited the old mining town of Virginia City which was only about 15 minutes away. The buildings made great photo opps. This one is Joel's debut as a photographer. Not bad! We walked around the town and then road a little train to the next little mining town a few miles down the road. After enjoying a delicious lunch, we rode the train back and joined. Grandpa and Grandma for ice cream at the creamery. After leaving ...

Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Joel's First Day of Pre-K. And second day. Joel started Pre-K on Monday this week. I only captured one picture of him on his first day. Right after I took this picture. . . . Today, I made sure to capture a picture of him in front of his class. Joel loves going to school, and I think this year will be a lot more challenging academically. It is so fun to see all the stuff he is learning! Monday, August 8, 2011. Thursday, August 4, 2011.
