Helping John – compassion international. How child sponsorship is changing my life. Happy Birthday, John! Bull;November 11, 2010 • 2 Comments. Today John turns six years old. A couple of months I sent over an extra Compassion gift so they could get him an appropriate (age and culture) gift for his birthday. After battling Leukaemia, our son Jonah was then diagnosed with aHUS - an ultra rare blood disorder. The medication required costs around 300k per annum. Our Charity was set up in January 2016 to raise the much needed funds for the on-going medication required for Jonah for which the States of Guernsey no longer funded. Should Jonah no longer need the medication funded.

Restoring Joy
Originally, this blog was started to chronicle the journey of what can happen when a forgotten horse falls into the loving hands of people who care. Joy has left us, but in letting her go, I continue to live the lessons that she taught me, and attempt to Restore Joy to other horses that come into my life. Thursday, January 22, 2015. The group CASE (Community Alliance to Support and Empower) provides food for those in need in El Segundo. CASE works with several churches in the community to staff a food pantry for those in need. Currently they are helping over 40 households composed of 90 people including 42 children. What we need monthly. Today we received a great donation from our sponsor.
