Head in the Clouds. Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Do I need more practice before I can churn out something decent again? Or is it passable? And what about the continuation of it? Writing comes alive in the dead of the night. The words snake from the brain to the page without hesitation, impossible either to appreciate or ridicule til the following day, all firmed up in the sunshine. That's the thing about daylight, it makes everything so real. No True writing takes place in the night. The humans are asleep.

OAuth 2.0 in Windows Phone using HttpClient. Chances are if you're using an API for any piece of software, you'll probably need to use a protocol like OAuth for authentication and authorization. There's a lot of documentation for OAuth (v1) out there, especially for Windows Phone; here's a popular C# file. That implements most of the OAuth protocol, and there's lot of pages out there which show how to use it. Send a request to your API's provider for an access token. Refresh the access token if necessary.
