Tess, Aaron, and Sagan take a trip across this perilous continent in the adventure of a lifetime. Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Backpacking at North Lake. We went camping with Matt, Arielle, and Sagan up at North Lake along Mountain Loop Highway. In Mt Baker – Snoqualmie National Forest. It was a great weekend of hiking, camping, and swimming in mountain lakes. If that sounds familiar, its because we did this hike before. It is awesome up there. Here are some pictures. And cooked them. Fairly tasty.

Tess, Aaron, and Sagan take a trip across this perilous continent in the adventure of a lifetime. Saturday, March 1, 2014. The Best Birthday EVER. So I recently turned 30 years old. What have I done with 30 short years of existence? Basically…not much. But that is a topic for another day. This post is about the day I turned 30, the surprise birthday weekend that Tess secretly planned around the event, and the amazing friends who made the journey to Seattle to share in that awesome weekend. The best part ...

The Oregon Trail: July 2013
http://oregontrail2011.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tess, Aaron, and Sagan take a trip across this perilous continent in the adventure of a lifetime. Sunday, July 21, 2013. It is very interesting how everything needs water to survive, yet water destroys everything! If just about anything gets wet, you have to take immediate drastic measures to attempt to salvage it… and even then most things are beyond repair. That is what we had to do following that time a pipe burst in our rented house. We literally washed every single thing we own. Anyway, things have ...

The Oregon Trail: Hiking Independence Lake with Carolyn
http://oregontrail2011.blogspot.com/2013/07/hiking-independence-lake-with-carolyn.html
Tess, Aaron, and Sagan take a trip across this perilous continent in the adventure of a lifetime. Sunday, July 21, 2013. Hiking Independence Lake with Carolyn. We met up with our good friend Carolyn to go explore the Mt. Baker – Snoqualmie National Forest. Which apparently is one of the most visited forests in the country (although I certainly did not get that feeling). More specifically we were adventuring along the beautiful Mountain Loop Highway. Why did the Pheasants cross the road? Which weren't rea...

Tess, Aaron, and Sagan take a trip across this perilous continent in the adventure of a lifetime. Wednesday, September 10, 2014. My good friend Chris works for this really cool non-profit called KaBOOM! Which pairs communities in need of a playground, with funding partners, and then plans and oversees the building of a playground for that community. Each project is a massive undertaking which culminates in a 1-day fast-paced playground build, with hundreds of volunteers. Many hands make light work. 8220;...

The Oregon Trail: January 2013
http://oregontrail2011.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Tess, Aaron, and Sagan take a trip across this perilous continent in the adventure of a lifetime. Sunday, January 27, 2013. Sometimes life takes a shit on you. This is one of those times. While we were traveling visiting family, a pipe burst in the house we rent. Our landlord found it relatively early which saved us from further. Loss Long story short: the pipes run in the attic (instead of the insulated walls). The temperature dipped down below freezing (a rare occurrence in Seattle). We did. Several ho...
