The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink!: May 2011
http://therossseven.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink! Monday, May 23, 2011. Field Day was never one of my favorite days at school when I was growing up. I was not an athletic person, and frankly that's who my Field Days were designed for! We had 59 yard dash, three legged race, pull-up contests, tug-of-war, etc. My sons' Field Day was nothing like that in any way! Here are a few of the giant inflatables that are brought in for Field Day:. Doesn't this look like fun? Next stops were an obstacle course and giant slide.

The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink! Monday, August 22, 2011. What I did on summer vacation.Swimming Lessons. Every summer we enroll the boys in swimming lessons. This year, I had Brennen at 8:00am, Caden and Preston at 8:30am, and Maddox at 9:00am. It was a little crazy for two weeks, but we really got a lot accomplished during those two weeks since we had to be up and out the door so early! Here's Caden in line for the slide. No worries here! Next up was Preston! He looks so little up there! What I ...

The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink!: December 2010

The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink! Thursday, December 2, 2010. A visit with Santa. We took our annual pictures with Santa at Centerpiece Photography. As you can clearly see, Ella was not the fondest of Santa. She cried and cried and just kept reaching for Mommy and Daddy. It was so sad. (Didn't stop us from getting a few pictures first though! When pictures on Santa's lap weren't working out, Melissa decided some with Santa in the background might work a little better. They did go a lot better!

The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink! Wednesday, November 24, 2010. The Ross Family Christmas Tree. Having always enjoyed the tradition of choosing a real Christmas tree, Bob and I decided that this would be the year that we would resurrect that tradition with our children. So I found a Christmas tree on line and last Saturday, we headed out in search of the Ross Family Christmas Tree! Ella was anything but speedy, so she only walked for a little while before being picked up. Here is Maddox in front of...

The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink! Wednesday, August 17, 2011. What I did on summer vacation.Worlds of Fun. Caden and Maddox love riding the rides. However, they are their mother's sons and will not do roller coasters! Preston decided that he was going to handle the map. That didn't last long! This was Ella's first trip where she rode something more than the train. She is my little daredevil and was willing to ride everything. I think she'd have taken on the Mamba if she could have! What I did on su...

The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink!: What I did on summer vacation...Rebels Baseball
http://therossseven.blogspot.com/2011/08/what-i-did-on-summer-vacationrebels.html
The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink! Friday, August 19, 2011. What I did on summer vacation.Rebels Baseball. Well, I have officially become a baseball mom. I always thought that soccer was a more interesting sport than baseball. I have come to the conclusion that this was due to a few factors:. 1 I never had a vested interest in it. Turns out anything that you watch is a lot more enjoyable when half of your genes are running around out there! Also can be good for a few laughs.). What a crazy bunch!

The House of Blue and a Splash of Pink! Monday, January 3, 2011. A Small Look at our Christmas. With all of our families here in town, we celebrate Christmas quite a few times. So in going through pictures, I decided to share just a few of the photos of Christmas morning. Otherwise, this could turn into the world's longest post! The boys always set out cookies for Santa. This year, we left Santa some of the Lofthouse cookies. They're his favorite! Santa's present for Brennen and one of Ella's! Brennen go...

Krista, Obie, Gage, and Garrett: September 2011
http://peppersinkansas.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Krista, Obie, Gage, and Garrett. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Obie's birthday was on September 4, last Sunday, and all he wanted for his birthday was a trip to Colorado to go camping in the mountains! So, we set off for Colorado at 5am Saturday morning. We traded the 105 degree temperatures in Kansas to freeze our butts off in Colorado! It was cloudy and rainy a lot of our time there, and we even had some freezing rain one day! These are called the "Devil's Staircase", located between LaVeta and Cuchara.
