My plate, my world: August 2009

http://myplatemyworld.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

My plate, my world. Monday, August 24, 2009. Dark Fudgy Brownies without the Guilt! Low fat, heart healthy, fudge brownies? Oh, yes it is. I found a yummy recipe at the Eating Well. Website. I've mentioned this great site in past blogs. I visited it recently to look for a new dessert to take to a friends cookout and found these gems. They are as dark and dense as they look. Extremely moist, fudgy. Texture and full of dark chocolatey. As well as not fearing the scales the next day. 1/4 cup granulated sugar.

High school football begins next week and that means leaf raking will be just around the corner. Having enjoyed a lovely summer I am looking forward to my favorite season, fall. Again, details to come. The o...

My plate, my world. Monday, March 2, 2009. And the winner is. Congratulations, you have won the Food and Wine Cookbook! I will be contacting you to get your email address. I used a very scientific method to choose the winner. The names of those who left comments were written on paper and I brought in a skilled team to pick one. First, there was Larry the Cat. So Toontz, in your comment you said you could use some help with food and wine parings, here you go! I look forward to reading about your success!

Knit All The Things Designs

0 items - $0.00. Knit All the Things. Celtic Forest Sock Pattern. Beautiful panels of celtic braids bordered by elegantly defined twists give these socks a Highland feel. Cables are worked entirely using twist stitches, so no cable needle is necessary! Free Pattern: Lavender Breeze Socks. The central lace pattern falls in a wavy flow down the sock, reminding me of lavender waving in the breeze. Purl rows between eyelet lace columns at the sides of this sock give it nice stretch for a comfortable fit.

Stitch 'n Bitch-Melbourne Knitalong

Stitch 'n Bitch-Melbourne Knitalong. Monday, December 20, 2004. Here is the felted FMB. Posted by Ben at 6:32 PM. I've just finished another French Market Bag to give as a gift. I used handspun wool, which was a natural mid-grey dyed with pink. Due to the variations in the yarn itself, I just used it straight, rather than adding different colours. I made the handles a bit longer than the pattern stipulated, which turned out much better I think. Posted by Ben at 6:31 PM. Thursday, October 21, 2004. I used...
