Sewing ♥ Vintage ♥ Knitting: Sewing update!!
http://anthea-retrovintage.blogspot.com/2015/05/sewing-update.html
The slacks are almost finished. I only need to add the waistband, hem the trouser legs and add a button and buttonhole. I am sorry for the bad light; the photo is made with a crappy camera. And while working on these trousers a got an idea for a matching blouse. Immediately I knew which fabric and which pattern I should use. Isn't it great when things come together like this :). I want to make view B/C. Have you ever made bound buttonholes? And what is your favourite method? May 31, 2015 at 6:29 AM.

Betty Stitchup: April 2015
http://bettystitchup.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 28 April 2015. Cherry Blossoms in Autumn. I bought this pretty cherry blossom print cotton on my last visit to Japan and paired it with New Look 6002. The pattern comes with 3 different bodice and waistband variations. I made View B with a plain waistband. I had previously used View C for the bodice of my Flamingo Frankenpattern. Well, it may not be Spring here, and I may not be in Japan, but I can put on my cherry blossom dress and pretend! Saturday, 11 April 2015. This is my second Dolores.

The second part of of our December / January trip to Holland covers our daily excursions to the Beer Brewery de Konigshoeven, Breda and Amsterdam. The entrance to the Trapist Monastery Konigshoeven. cat's pajamas, dog's tuxedos: November 2013
http://catspajamas-dogstuxedos.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Cat's pajamas, dog's tuxedos. Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Giving new life to an old shawl. The shawl was a brithday present from Mr. C. I fell in love with the delicate colour palette and the romantic print of butterflies and branches . But when worn the print wasn't visible and the colours were too mellow. I also chose to turn the shawl into a snood. The shawl was too short to drape properly and any attempt to tie it into a knot resulted in a messy bulk concentrated around my neck. Links to this post.

Sophie's Sewing Room: PATTERNS
http://sophiesewingadventures.blogspot.com/2014/03/patterns.html
Tuesday, March 4, 2014. I have a HUGE admiration of people sewing their own clothing. Unless you tried sewing, you will know that it can be both very easy or a total nightmare. I've had my fair share of 'abandoned' sewing projects. Am stuck and nowhere to go - abandon. Don't like the material - abandon. (I thought it looked good at first.). Don't like the fit - abandon. I do notice that once I cut the fabric, I am full steam ahead and can sew days without stop. Another one I like:Butterick B6026. A s...

Sophie's Sewing Room: BUYING MORE PATTERNS
http://sophiesewingadventures.blogspot.com/2014/02/buying-more-patterns.html
Monday, February 3, 2014. When I saw the above pattern, I fell in love with that top. Wanted so desperately to buy and sew it but didn't. Finally, it's that time of crazy buying time again. Nothing like starting off the year with something I like. Back to the above pattern. It was what I wanted BUT I ended up not ordering it. Don't know what happened, but after everything is done and PAID button hit. I realized that missed out the most important pattern. So dissapointed with myself. Gotta to love them :).

This Old Life: Might As Well Jump
http://nabbysvintagelife.blogspot.com/2012/06/might-as-well-jump.html
Thursday, June 21, 2012. Might As Well Jump. What can I say.I just saw "Rock of Ages" and have hair metal on the brain! Thank you all so much for your well-wishes and advice regarding my horrendous case of poison ivy! I've been doing almost nothing but fighting with it for the last few months, and have actually contracted it twice more, though not as severely, thank goodness! In the meantime, I made this jumper utilizing another friend to the fluctuating waistline (or hip-line, as the case may be! I did ...
