Hamburg, New York and Shanghai those are my three favorite cities of the world. Each one of them has its own smell and each own of them I would recognize by its smell, if I had to walk the streets with blind eyes. Apparently, I am not the only one who feels each city has its own smell: Certain Duty Free Shops are now selling a new perfume line called The Scent of Departure.

In Phoenix waren wir in einem super Hotel einquartiert. Es war eigentlich schade, dass wir unsere Zeit mit Packen und Ausmisten verbringen mussten. Mit 2 Handkofferwaagen beendeten wir die Packerei und hofften alle, dass es am Flughafen keine zusätzliche Kosten geben würde. Nach unserem Nachtessen bei Mc Donalds und Nachtleben auf der Yonge Street fielen wir müde ins Bett. Toronto in wenigen Stunden zu erkunden ist möglich und ganz einfach…. Pismo Beach Death Valley. Den Morgen in Pismo Beach starteten wir mit einem Spaziergang am Beach. Danach gings bereits in den nächsten Premium Outlet. Aus den vereinbarten 2 Stunden, die jedem zur Verfügung standen, wurden plötzlich 4 Stunden. Danach ging die Fahrt weiter nach Visalia. Das Personal war super freundlich und nahm etliche Umbuchungen vor, damit wir zwei Cottage Cabins nebeneinander hatten. Grand Canyon South Rim – Tucson. Wir fuhren auf der Interstate 17 und 10 bis nach Tucson wo wir im Best Western Sun and Inn an bester Lage logierten. Doch kaum einquartiert, tropfte es im Zimmer meiner Eltern von der Decke. Hier weiss man, was Kundenservice ist: sie wurden ohne zusätzliche Kosten in ein 2-Zimmer Zimmer mit Jacuzzi upgegradet. Der heutige Tag brachte wieder wunderschöne Erlebnisse mit sich. In und um Page kann man sich gut verweilen. Unsere Unterkunft. Kann ich allen wärmstes empfehlen. Den späten Nachmittag verbrachten wir am Lake Powell, diesmal jedoch nicht in Arizona sondern in Utah. Der Lone Rock Beach ist wärmstens zu empfehlen und die Kids hatten Spass am Schwimmen mit der Schwimmweste und am Sandburg und Canyons bauen.
